I put the PRG mini lift on my '04 Titan yesterday. Had it professionally aligned today. My truck is a SE CC 4x4 with the off road package. Here is my issue: when driving the truck anywhere from 10mph up, I hear a knocking sound coming from the front suspension. It sounds like what I thought was possibly the strut being loose on the top end. I checked the bolts and they are torqued to PRG's recommendation. I seem to hear it more from the right front side of the truck. I've looked at everything and I don't see anything that's loose. The noise definitely concerns me. I drove my wife around and she could even hear it. The sound is not loud, but you can hear it, as well as feel it in the floor board.
When I drive the truck in my neighborhood and go over un even pavement or a man hole cover (about a one inch drop) I hear it. I 've been looking all over this site for an hour and have only found one other post with a problem similar to mine. Unfortunately the post has only two replies and no resolution. I've tried calling the PRG folks, but I think they might be closed this week for the holidays.
i have the same problem, but it happened after i installed my fabtecg lift. its really annoying. the only thing i can think of is the uca bolt where it meats the spindle is not tight, because i did not have a air tool powerful enough to torque it on good. any thoughts?
Check to make sure your leveling kit is for a 4wd and not a 2wd kit.I read on here somewhere that if you use the 2wd on a 4wd it will cause some rubbing, clicking noises.

That would be from the upper control arm riding on the coil bucket. I believe it generally happens over bumps, but if you indeed have the 4x4 lift kit, it shouldn't be the problem.
I did receive the 4x4 kit - according to the box. I spoke with PRG last week and Greg was somewhat stumped on this one. I didn't have the problem before I installed the lift.
I checked all of the torque settings. They were good. I then disconnected the front sway bar on the passenger side (that is where the sound is coming from) and drove along the same street where I previously heard the noise - still there. This ruled out the sway bar as the culprit. The next day I completely took apart the right front and basically reinstalled the lift. Noise is still there. I checked to see if the plastic splash guards in the wheel well were lose. One spot came loose so I fixed it, but I didn't think that would resolve the problem since I can full the bumping in the floor board. Noise is still there.
How do I know if the shock is bad? I only have 45,000 on the truck. I did not hear this noise before installing the lift, so it seems pretty unlikely that the shock just happened to crap out after I pulled the truck on level ground to install the lift.
I really like the look of this lift and don't want to have to scrap it because of this noise.
I don't think the noise is coming fromthe upper control arm hitting the coil bucket. I'm hearing this noise on small bumps in the road, nothing that flexes the suspension to that extent.
I even hear the noise pulling into my driveway at a very slow speed (my driveway has about a 1.5 inch lip where it meets the asphalt.

You'd be suprised, many others have had them go out far sooner than that. I know it's a long shot, but see if you can't scrounge up another shock to do some troubleshooting and hopefully narrow down the issue. There are probably some for sell here in the Buy/Sell forum (you can probably resell them with little to no loss.)

I definately wouldn't scrap it. There are far too many satisfied PRG customers, proving that it's probably another issue. Your issue is one of the few, perhaps only, that hasn't been solved after a short phone call to Greg. If you're feeling really motivated, you could remove the lift and see how it does, my guess is that the sound will remain.
Also check your tie rods. I too had my truck "professionally alligned" but I still discovered a loose locking nut afterwards which caused a knocking noise and sloppy feeling steering.
As others had previously suggested it sounds like the shock may be spent.
In some cases, shocks will adjust over time to s pecific setup. If you change the height of the setup after the shock is settled in, then they can fail easily. It was always this way with non-coilover setups, so I assume the same logic applies in this case.
sounds like you already know how to take the front spacers off pretty quickly. take it back to stock and see if the noise is still there. sucks you already had the alignment done, but sounds like the only way to figure out if its the shock or the spacer.
to anyone: other than the old fashion way of pushing down each corner of the truck, is there a more accurate way to determine a shock is done?
