Easiest/best way for a minimini lift?

I know this sounds horrible to some of you guys w/ 6-10'' lifts, but I'm looking for something smaller than even the mini-lift.

I have an 07 CC SE 4x4 w/ big tow, and do actually plan to use it for towing on rare occasions. I'd like something close to a 1'' lift in the front and rear... I figure I could just get the spacer for the rear, maybe the front too....? Is that good though.... and safe? Kinda new to trucks, coming over from the perf. side of the car world where blocks, cutting, and reheating was the trash way to do it.... no pun or knockdowns intended I plan on getting 285/70/18's in the future but will not just junk or sell off cheap a perfectly good set of factory tires.... Im too stingy and cheap for that! However, I want the peace of mind that comes w/ knowing I have just a little extra ground clearance if I do decide to go offroad. Gotta keep that chrome looking good!

On a side note.... I have made up my mind to get the optional skid plate, but can I also purchase the additional skid plates that come w/ the offroad version? If so, can I mount them and are they expensive?

Also, if blocks are pretty acceptable and safe, what is the relative cost involved. What about the cost of other options? Will either affect my ability to tow? My adjustable ride height?

Lastly.... a pic of a 1'' front/rear left would be hot

Thnx!

Check the link in my sig about minilifts:

I'm not sure about optional skid plate vs offroad skid plate.

Give Greg a call. I'm sure he can make something that will suit your needs.

You can get a 1.3" in the front, and 1" block in the rear..That's what jaho1979 has.

Just remember, a 1" spacer in the front does not equal a 1" lift.

Re: Easiest/best way for a minimini lift?

Ok... but its not like you'd be able to tell there is really a spacer there anyways. I'm hoping that w/ just 1'' front and rear you don't really see a huge difference in the way the wheel sits. Thanks for the info though, I didn't know Gregg made a 1'' lift for the front and rear..... I may have to get that. If I want more down the road I'll just get larger tires.
