Knocking noise, suspension?

I have a 2005 Titan 4x2 XE, 4dr, with stock suspension, but upgraded wheels. I seem to have a subtle knocking noise coming from the front driver's side wheel area. It doesn't take a big bump or pothole to make it happen though. I've been under the truck with a rubber mallet and can't reproduce the sound or find anything loose. The knocking noise is so subtle that if you turn on the radio, you can't hear it. Seems to do it more during cold weather. Failing shock??? Bad strut??? Truck only has 10500 miles. No apparent uneven tire wear either. It made this noise before I upgraded wheels. Anyone have similar knocking noise?

I would guess it would be the sway bar had this problem on my old car.

Re: Knocking noise, suspension?

im gonna ask a question here since its basically the same topic, i dont have the knocking sound, but a high pitched squealing sound when going over a bump and turn at the same time, sounds like its coming from passenger front... i have cst spindle and leveling kit if anyone can figure it out.

another noise that i have thats non suspension related sounds like an antenna noise from it bouncing back and fourth with the wind but i took it off and it still made the noise, has anyone encountered this one, i have an extended cab 05 xe
