Stock Titan Shock Upgrade

I want to keep my Titan stock.

What is the best & cheapest shock upgrade for front and rear?

I have a crew cab, off road, 4x4.

One of my ranchos is leaking in the rear so I want to replace the whole set.

I also want to soften up the ride a little.

You're truck won't be stock if you replace the front and rear shocks.

Re: Stock Titan Shock Upgrade

for the money radlfo 2.0 for the front, and dr's for the rear.
the oem stock front probably cost $500 for the set, radlfo another $200 (100x better +better springs), dr's for the rear total $200 for the set, stock oem probably the same amount.

soo you rlooking at $800 for a better riding truck and better suspension!!!!call prg!

So are the dr's for the rear better than the bilstein's for the rear?

Also isn't there a shock replacement for the front where I can just leave on the current stock springs? I don't have $600 laying around for the Radflo 2.0 right now.

I've been trying to read through all this suspension info, but it gets confusing for me trying to sort it all out. My main concern is softening up the ride when taking my truck down old logging roads in the woods during my hunting and fishing adventures. It's a bumpy affair these days after 48,000 miles with over half of those miles spent off-road.

Re: Stock Titan Shock Upgrade

at this time, there is no shock-only replacement for the front.

Re: Stock Titan Shock Upgrade

I found this on autozone:

Gabriel Shocks and Struts

Also check out the Gabriel web site

The Advance Auto site shows a bunch of parts listed for Rancho's. I'm assuming they would be replacements for the stock-offroad package shocks. Click Here

Would be nice if there were pictures of the items but there is not.

I think this is what you were looking for if I'm not mistaken???

Re: Stock Titan Shock Upgrade

What series ranchos come stock with the offroad package? I really didn't like them. Too stiff resulting in a hasher ride.

Were the factory Ranchos over sprung, and under damped?

I haven't got a clue. Just know that the truck rode stiff when I got it, is now worse and now one of my rear shocks is leaking.

I talked to PRG tonight. Sounds like he is going to have some DR rear shocks in any day now.

Re: Stock Titan Shock Upgrade

Good choice ! now your on the right track, dont waste your money on junk front shocks. Get the radflo from Greg, its a bolt-on switch. If you buy cheap shocks, remove the stock coilovers, pay to compress the coils, skin your knuckles putting them back on, spending 300 bucks and have the same poopy ride before you started, then go for it!

NOTE : You can pay too little and have nothing, or you can pay too much and have something !
