PRG Performance Lift Question

Hey everyone. I've lurked about this site for a couple years now and have paid especially close attention to threads posted in this forum. Great site, info., and members. Anyhow, I can now afford to do some of the mods I've been holding off on (e.g. PRG Perf. Lift), but I need a little input from those of you with the suspension and expertise.

I have an '04 KC SE BT 4x4. I am going to order the performance lift with the SAW's. Haven't decided between Bilsteins or Donahoes for the rear. But I'm definitely getting Greg's off-road traction bars. My question concerns the Deaver spring option. Currently, the rear is 2" higher than the front (stock). I thought I would order the 2.5" spring pack with the Total Chaos shackles (-.75"). This would mean I would have 1.75" of lift in the rear total. And with the front SAW's adjusted for 3" of lift, I should have .75" of forward rake. Is this the case? Or have I left something out of the equation? Would it just be better to go with the 1.5" spring pack? I would like to get the aftermarket TC shackles, but I don't really want the rear to sag for that Escondido/San Diego look.

I'd like to order this suspension within the next 2 weeks. It would be great if Greg could install it himself. I live about 25 minutes away from him and I work in Riverside. I know he's busy, so I hate to call and pester him if I'm not ready to order. Incidently, I've done searches galore. But, haven't found a thread or post that addresses this issue. I apologize for the long post. Be easy on me... I'm a posting newb.

Regards,
Trace

well, if the deavers are 2.5" and you get the chaos shackles which lower the rear roughly 3/4 to an inch, then adjust the fronts accordingly. If you really want the front setup for 3" of lift, then you could just run the deaver 2.5" and be cool. From my understanding, the chaos shackles are mainly for those running the full deaver pack. Another possibility is running the 1.5" deavers w/ a 2" block. That could possibly help eliminate the forward rake.

Really though, call Greg. Yes, he's busy and all that, but he also loves talking to, and taking care of his customers, present or future. While it may be hard to get him on the phone, leave him a message, or try at a later time. Reason why hes so popular here is not only because of his suspension knowlege (as other shops that work on titans could also be knowledgable) but also b/c of his awesome customer service...IMO

Re: PRG Performance Lift Question

It may take a little time to catch up to Greg but the wait will be worth the info and service you'll receive. Tell him what you want to achieve and he'll tell you the setup you need to go with. He's not all about $$$ because I actually wanted to spend more $$$$ on more suspension mods from him and he basically told me not to go the route I had intended. He could have sold me the stuff I intended on buying and left it @ that but he is truly interested in making sure you achieve the desired results the easiest and most efficient way.

Re: PRG Performance Lift Question

Sorry chud you pm'ed and it won't let me reply. So the truck does still have a slight forward rake even with the tc lowering shackles in the back. So you front will sit a little lower since you have 4x4. I wouldn't change anything, great off road performance and i recommend getting the rad flos for the rear rather than the bilstiens. Nothing wrong with the bilstiens, the are 100% percent better than stock, but the rad flos are twice as good as the bilstiens. I had greg do the install and he set the height, so i would ask him. He sets it to wear you get a good lift, and a good ride. I've run the truck really hard and have never had problems with any of the items. And that's offroading in sand dirt, and mud and even getting airborne several times.
