airlift airbag install question

are you suppose to have to compress the bag as far flat as it will go to get the upper bracket to be mounted to the frame? I just got my kit from prg and was about to do the install and wanted to check before i keep going. This is how high it sits right now...

Re: airlift airbag install question

do u have air in the bags...because mine is compressed prior to install.those 4 bolts should be directly on the frame. what i did was i aligned the top edge of the airlift top plate parallel to the top part of that metal bumpstop stopper. this gave me enough extension that when the leafsprings are at full travel, it doesnt tear the bag apart...ill take pics tommorrow

Re: airlift airbag install question

there isn't any air in the bags in that pic. The air lines are not hooked up yet.

Re: airlift airbag install question

I looked at the part number of the bag and it doesn't match what the airlift website says it suppose to be. I called prg this morning and am waiting for a return phone call. We'll see what happens.

Re: airlift airbag install question

This is how compressed it is installed. It seems to be more compressed than the other i have seen pics of. What do you think? I'm trying to find out before i keep going with the install.
