Whats the scoop on leveling these trucks?

Just bought a 2006 4x4 titan loaded up, after spending many years driving diesels. Love the truck, cant stand the stinkbug look, so i took it down to Les Shwab to level it out and maybe get some new tires. They will only do a 6 inch lift, nothing else. They said all of the level kits on the market destroy the front end components. Its 6 inches or nothing. I see and have searched that alot of folks have leveled out their trucks without issues , whats the truth about level kits? Thanks in advance

Re: Whats the scoop on leveling these trucks?

I have a dealer-installed leveling kit on it, supposedly (according to dealer) with Nissan's blessing.

Have put about 5000 miles on it so far, no problems at all. many others have installed leveling kits without any problems.

hit up PRG, he has been a sponser here for a longass time. I have had his kit on for almost 2 years with ZERO issues.

Re: Whats the scoop on leveling these trucks?

Are you just trying to match the front and rear height? If so, look at prgproducts.com or ncd.com, they are both site sponsors here. Many of the guys here have the leveling kit that only raises the front 2 or 2.5 inches.

Re: Whats the scoop on leveling these trucks?

use the search function, tons of info on leveling kits. I still haven't made the change yet but I kinda like the rake look and being that this is my daily driver and there have been so many issues with the front and rear diff. I may not do anything. Most will say it shouldn't cause any issue and it probably won't but.......

Re: Whats the scoop on leveling these trucks?

PRG's leveling spacer will NOT destroy the front end, although there a few kits out there that will.

Re: Whats the scoop on leveling these trucks?

the PRG and the NCD are great kits. they are both CNC machined billet aluminum and high quality. they will not over-extend your front struts like some (cough, daystar, cough) will.
