sway bars?

I just got an 07 XE. Some friends of mine said I should put some sway bars on it. I was just wondering if they are even worth my time? Do they make much of a difference?

Re: sway bars?

IT comes with one of the front. Some like sway bars, I prefer the ride without one when using stiffer springs.

Re: sway bars?

I put a hellwig sway bar on the rear on my 05 le and the difference was huge in handling, cornering was great no more body roll.

its worth it.

Re: sway bars?

i like Kartman removed mine. best thing i've ever done to my truck. i also have the same coilovers as kartman so the higher spring rate makes up for not having the swaybar somewhat so an increase in body lean is a little bit more noticeable, however if one were to take off the sway bar in front without having coilovers with a higher spring rate, you'll perhaps think you're going to roll over...

all depends really on what purpose your truck is going to serve you. i absolutely love the way it handles now that it is off!

Re: sway bars?

I too have the same coilovers as kartman and hooligan and took my sway bar off as well. I like the way it rides and handles way better now.

Re: sway bars?

Depends on what you use your truck for:

Street - more sway bars for handling and cornering.
Off Road - less sway bars for articulation and ride.

Re: sway bars?

Except my truck corners better on the street without a swaybar.

Re: sway bars?

The Titan has front sway bars stock.

IMO a much better upgrade than rear sways or aftermarket front sway bars is the DR or Bilstein rear shocks from PRG. My first mod was the PRG modified Bilstein rear shocks, and they made my Titan feel like it was on rails when cornering.

Btw, because of the softer springs on the stock front coil-overs, probably not a good idea to disconnect them ... or if you do experiment, at least mention it to your wife if she drives it too. Lol
