Well it looks like I am going to have to disassemble and reassemble the kit all over again. The noise is still there and I know I installed and torqued it correctly. I might just switch the shocks to the other side to see if that is it.
Well I know what I am doing on Sunday.
I have a set of 4x4 OEM Rancho's with PRG leveling blocks you can try if you need.
this isn't making me want to install my leveling kit but, I've already got it.
I bought the 2 1/2" leveling kit from PRG for my 2wd Titan, and this weekend i ended up buying a 07' 4wd, question? can I install the spacers on my 4wd as well as the Bilsteins? The leveling kit I bought was to be in conjunction with my 4"spindle lift to give me 6 1/2" of total lift.
Well, neither the spindle lift, nor the 2.5" leveling kit will work on the 4x4.
I decided to use a AC lift coil instead of spacers. There is an inch difference between the front and the rear. Bad news is that both sides are making the noise on my Titan. Tightened everthing again and nothing seems to be working. I here the noise going over small bumps just like the NCD kit, but I have a aftermarket coilspring on the factory Rancho strut. Any ideas??
I htink I'm having the same problem, I cannot locate the issue. When going over ruff paved roads (most of SD and LA) I hear a constant noise that sounds like a loose nut or bolt or something. I can't figure it out either. I have the PRG 2" kit on my 4x4, I don't think it is the issue since it started doing this about a year later.

Those AC coils are bad news for your shocks, they over extend the shock. A lot of Frontier guys are having issues with those coils breaking the stock shocks in half.
I'm starting to think my problem is something like a Bad Wheel Bearing it shows up at slow speeds and disapears as I go faster but I can't find anything loose. It is mostly noticable on slightly bumpy roads (not perfectly smooth) but now that I have my MT Tires on it seems even more noticable.

You know Justin, I was thinking the same thing a few days ago. What if it is the wheel bearing that is coming looser as the miles are added on. I wonder if any one out there has adjusted them and the noise disappeared??? How many miles do you have on her now?
I was going to get some newer OEM Ranchos from Derwud and switch them out on my truck this weekend to see if that was going to solve my issue. I will let you all know the outcome.
I have almost 35k. I'm not certain that is what it is but I have had them go on my old nissan hardbody and the sound will continue to get worse of course. Not sure if there is a way to adjust them? Maybe repack them if they are not sealed bearings but they probably are?
Let me know if the shocks fix the problem for you.

any update on this? anybody find the source? im getting ready to put on my kit this weekend and would like any extra advice. are the torque settings correct? anything i should do different?
thanks

Have you heard of any titans having the same problem as I am having. Could I possibly get longer stuts and use the TC upper control arms to solve the over extending shock... or would that combo lift the truck to high with the longer struts causing CV angles to be to severe to run high speeds traveling?? Or just put limiting straps on the front? IDEAS would be greatly appreciated!
I don't think there are any longer front shocks available for Titans ( besides SAW, Radflo, Donahoe) On Frontiers and Xterras those coils overextend the stock shocks and make them top out ( it could be the same issue as your truck since the suspensions are very similar.) Is your ride pretty stiff and bouncy? If so, the shocks could be topping out. It's worth checking out.
What is the most accurate way of checking to see if the shocks are topping out. Jacking the front of the truck up until the tires are off the ground and seeing what distance that is or how? I am new to the coil over game.
i got the same problome but i installed 6 inch lift with coil overs just how it is explaioned here clunk on small bums and pivets mainly when the shock is depressing me my self have put many houres tring to figure out the problem no luck yet

dealer says it is my bumper squeeking when going over a ruff road. They said it has nothing to do with the suspension and It's not covered because they only cover adjustments for 12k miles..
