Titan lift question

I have 4x2 XE CC. I came across a set of pro-comp Xterrains 325/65/18 with pro comp wheels for only $150 for all 4!!! Thats insane!!! never the less, I know i can sell them and make a little bit of profit. Those tires will not fit my truck unless I get a fabtech 6" lift. I dont go off roading much other than going up the North Georgia mountians here and there. It came across my mind to get the lift on my truck, never planned on doing that but man I love the agressive look. My question is that is it worth putting in the money for a lift when Im not really gonna use it? Help me out fellas...

Re: Titan lift question

I lost power and my gas mileage sucks even worse after the lift but I still love it. Id lift it if I were you. They look like a new truck afterwards. I wouldnt go fabtech if I were you though. Check out PRG's 2wd CST spindle lift.

Intersting. Why wouldnt you go for Fabtech? The I have done a little bit of research and discovered that Fabtech is the leading brand. But, as usual thats peoples opinions. Pleasee explain if you dont mind...

Re: Titan lift question

Ive just heard of the fabtech kit having some issues. And since your 2 wheel drive a drop bracket lift really isnt necesary. The PRG spindle lift you will get more heighth and clearance (no drop bracket).

Re: Titan lift question

Its $899 which is cheaper than the fabtech. Give Greg at PRG a call. He will explain better than me.

Re: Titan lift question

Greg at PRG might still have some great deals on a Pro Comp lift!

Re: Titan lift question

I'm pretty sure guys have run those size tires w/just a PRG Leveling Kit. They had to do the Pinchweld Mod for Rubbing, but it's a lot cheaper going that route.

BTW - Here's a helpful tire size converter if you're looking @ different size tires & you want to compare them to stock sizes.

Re: Titan lift question

I have a 4x2 CC SE and I just installed a readylift leveling kit and Nitto Grapplers 320 60 18 on some new rims (18x9) and it fits fine with slight rubbing but I didn't have to do a Pinchweld Mod.

You just answered your own question. Why would you change something when it's working fine for your application and you more then likely wont use it. Why try to fix something that is not broken right?
