rear shocks? Bilsteins or Donahoes .... fantastic replacements, whether you off road or not

Re: shocks

Just FYI, the shackles are made by Total Chaos, sold by PRG.

I have the Bilsteins and love them. Although I hear, for stock to small lifted trucks the Donahoes are better. Donahoe does not make a shock long enough for lifted applications though.

Re: shocks

Don't know how much of a rush you are in to get the shocks, but if you can wait a few more months, check out this thread:

Bilstein Adjustable 5100's

I've decided to wait until these come out. I can get the truck levelled and get much better shocks at the same time - all for the cost of replacing the shocks.

Re: shocks

Might try this thread:

New Stuff From PRG

There are stock replacement shocks for $89 ea. from PRG. He sends you the new Bilstein shock with a stock coil spring installed. You send back your stock unit. This prevents you from having to dis-assemble, then re-assemble your stock coilover which is known to be a hassle.

Definitely the ones in my last post. The yellow/blue bilstein's with stock spring. Then get the Bilstein 5125's for the back.
