Need Help

Hey,

2006 4WD CrewCab Nissan Titan

I got one of those itches again, and it needs to be scracthed otherwise I will keep thinking about it.

I am a total noob when it comes to this, so, please explain it to me, with full names, so i can research it. Here it goes.

I have a 6k spending limit, for wheels, tires, lift (shocks n stuff) and installment for my truck. I have the tires (Toyo M/T 35x12.50x20) and rims (KMC Jacks and Five 20x8.5) picked out. My troubles is my lifting situation.

I would like to have it around 6", and have upgraded shocks, UCAs, traction bars if I have too, and all that other good stuff(don't really know what the 'good' stuff is because I am an idiot LOL). What can I get, to fit my needs? Keep in mind I would like it to ride nice and smooth.

Remember, I would like to be able to fit 35" tires and 20" rims with little to no rubbing. Also, this has to be under 6k because I also need to get it installed by someone. I am going to call Greg Monday, but would like to hear what you guys say.

Sway-A-Way (SAW) Coilovers ($1000) Cheaper and better than any others.
SAW rear shocks w/ piggyback reservoir ($400) More expensive than Bilsteins or DRs but the ride is impeccable.
Deavers 2.5" ($249 i think) gives 3" of rear lift.

sounds perfect. just have greg add some airbumps (for the mild jumping) all around if you can fit it in the budget, at least the front! also mention to him that you WILL be doing some mild jumping in the long run. oh, also ADD to that list a pair of TC rear leaf shackles especially if you plan on doing the mild jumping thing. also, you'll need to do some trimming in the inner wheel well (otherwise known as the: pinch weld mod) in the front to eliminate the chances of rubbing but with that setup you might not need to.

Ok, I will look more into it.

I honestly don't play on jumping it, but I need to know if that thing will hold up ok on a very very very small hill. Hopefully I can fit this in the budget

If I don't jump it at all, are the shackles a necessity, or just better overall?

that's an excellent package.

shackles aren't a necessity, but they're a relatively inexpensive bit of 'insurance' in case your stock shackles would happen to fail.......they'd definitely fit in your budget, get 'em

Now I will definately go all decked out on the suspension. I want people to go up to my truck, and be like, thats freaking clean man.

Still need opinions.

If I don't do any jumping, but want my truck to ride nice and smooth, what will i need to help achieve that? Here is a little thing I put together

Are all these necessities, or just stuff that would make it better for jumping? Damn tires and wheels are expensive!

Now that I think of it, my truck will really only see some mud, and a bit of sand in Arizona.

nothing against Fabtech, but Greg prefers the PC. less cutting and the design is very good as where the Fabtech he says you have to hack a lot up, but still a good lift but just more cutting. the list you have will easily yield you 6" and as much as 7" of lift. not sure about the rear though with the combination of the Deaver 2.5 pack, TC shackles and a block. you'll want Greg to do the math to determine the correct size of the block you'll want or need for however way you want the rear to sit.

as far as stress, only thing that would increase the stress on any other part would be your driving habit while offroading with your new lift. other than that, all is designed to improve, strengthen many of your critical suspension components.

you're gonna love your truck once its done!

Instead of 500 rear shocks for the back LOL and I don't plan on doing hardcore off roading, what are good rear shocks? Bilsteins? Donahoes?

Which would give me a better ride?

in that order... oem, ranchos, bilsteins, donahoes, 2.0 radflos,2.25 SAWs, 2.5 SAWs, bypass shocks, etc...

i have had the Bilsteins and thought they were good, superior to oem and ranchos, then stepped up to the 2.0 Radflos for the better valving and the reservoir to keep the fluid temp cooler while bombing whoops. would step up to the 2.5 SAWs but have been very impressed with the Radflos so much i'm not quite sure if doing that is necessary at this time. so based on value i'd say the 2.0 radflos would provide you with more than you'd need. don't quote me but i think they were $199 a set.

Oh ok, cool thanks. i think I am just going to get the SAWs up front, and the bilstiens in the rear, so I can save a little cash. Unless the Radflos aren't to much more expensive.

Just fork out the $400 and get the rear SAW's w/resv................... Don't be wallet shy, do it right!!!
