Unhappy help on going BIG!!!

sup dudes, got an 04 kc 4x4. did a rc leveling with a 2" block in the rear. mud grapplers 33x12.50 on 17x9 black xd revolvers. it's a daily driver, with some mudding, but mostly highway. well i dream to go big (like 12" big), but it will be over a matter of time. so what can i aim for component wise, names, brands, models etc. what can i combine to achieve such a lift, but as well i don't want a crappy drive afterwards. i'm new around here so any input would be nice, thanks dudes.....

if you want it to ride good, stay away from bulletproof.

if you are on a budget but still want some nice parts contact Greg at PRG and he can hook you up with a 10" kit.

It consists of the 6" Fabtech Stage I lift with Radflo 2.5 coilovers. You crank up the coilovers and then install a 2" coilover spacer on top of the coilover. To do this you will also need PRG Upper Control Arms. In the rear you will need Deaver 2.5 leaf springs. You will also need a 4" tapered block. And then you will need to have aftermarket shocks as well.

When all is said and done you should have 10" of lift in the front and 7" out back. If that isn't enough you can add a 3" Performance Accessories Body Lift.

With a 10" lift you will be able to run 37s with only doing the pinch weld mod. With 13" of lift you will be able to run up to a 38.5" tire.

Good luck and I hope you got deep pockets.

Re: help on going BIG!!!

Yea, you can. And I wouldn't make a body lift. The parts are cheaper but the installation is expensive. 20 hours of labor

Re: help on going BIG!!!

Yeah I'd go with what Etal said as far as suspension goes, but someone just posted that they paid to get their body lift installed and it only took 9 hours. So it could be that the places everyone else went to just didn't know what they were doing, or they felt like ripping their customers off. I've done a few body lifts on Ford's, Chevy's and Jeeps and it usually only takes about 7-12 hours depending on how many people I have helping me, and if their experinced or not. But I've also heard of it taking some poeple two plus days to do it, if they've never done one before.

OK. That's the first I've heard of a body lift taking for a Titan taking less than 20 hours.

And I'm just glad that suspension queen agreed with me

Re: help on going BIG!!!

man i have an 8inch fabtech lift. i went with the 6inch lift then left the leveling kit on the front and 4inch blocks in the rear. yes the body lift can be done in 7-12 hours. some trucks it takes a hell of a long time cause the cab bolts you have to take the interior out to get to. the titan should only take about 8-9hrs for a body lift. i have done one already and about to do a second.

Oh man, I made some bad spelling mistakes in my post. I used the wrong they're and I spelled experienced wrong. What is going in here?!?! lol Yeah I think it was Choo Choo or something like that, I'll look for the thread it was pretty recent. But yes as far as the suspension goes Etal named the setup you need!

The only reason I know about that is because I wanted to do a 10" lift all suspension. But decided against it. Gas mileage is 11 right now. Don't need it to be 8 when I put 37s on

Re: help on going BIG!!!

Mine consists of...Up front...BulletProof dropdown, Bulletproof Spindles that Brian owner of Bulletproof modified 2", Custom Upper control arms with Uniballs, Custom Lower Control arms with Uniballs, King Coils, Back is Four Linked, Axle is Trussed, with Kings as well. Body lift also...equals about 19" of lift and rides amazing. It is my Daily driver, I have no other vehicle.

The thing with Body Lifts on a Titan is they are a ***** but can be done in a long day if someone knows what to do.
And once you four link your truck you wont ever go back..its nice.

But just remember..if your going to go high like this spend the money to find a shop that will do it right.

Re: help on going BIG!!!

Alright Dudes,
So I Think I Will Do The Fabtech & Coil Over Lift With The Spacer Left In There. And I Agree Gas On 37's Would Be Killer, Specially Since It's My Only Vehicle, Might Sacrifice With A Moped Though..... Hmmmn Should I Get The Chaos Upper Arms? Or Let It Be..

Re: help on going BIG!!!

you'll need arms to do the extended height fabtech lift or your upper arm WILL be hitting the coil bucket, not may... trust me, mine hits slightly and I just have a leveling kit AND I had the coil bucket ground down where it hits, still hits and it's annoying and if it hit harder it wouldn't be good for it, it'd bend the coil bucket for sure, or maybe worse damage the arm causing other stuff to go at the same time..

as for body lift, the biggest pita are the steering extension and radiator drop down imo. the rest is cake...
