Right, they have two color nuts that tighten to each other and lock the coil in place. I am obviously lowering the bottom one away from the upper, and trying my best to raise the upper, just inches with a rubber mallet. WD40 and PBBlaster did nada. I swear I am not as dumb as I sound.

just make sure the suspension is completely unloaded, nothing can be putting any stress on the coilovers. mine only spun after wd40

I also have CST spindles, they must be putting pressure on the c/o and making things tough

Spindles should not matter. Post a pic of your shocks, something sounds very wrong.

Re: Installed coilovers, but how do I raise them now?

My dr. coilovers were a PITA to adjust they have a set screw, i blew them off with air first then i shot alot tri flow (like wd40) on them and they only have a single collar and used a bar on the end on the spanner wrench and is was hard as hell to get them to adjust up. i had tein super drifts on my silvia that were relatively easy with one hand to adjust but the tension on these big thick springs for our heavy trucks (compared to little import cars) is alot, so when you are cranking them for more lift you are trying to compress those huge coils. hope this helps you out.

That explains it, I was thinking they were 2.5s.
