kyle leduc has tgat same set up on a leveled f-150. He had to chop the you know what out of the inner fenders. It was in a kmc ad like a year or two ago.
Us desert guys just have to realize that the young guys like this big wheel look and the Southern man like em tall and tippy
But we know that Desert trucks/buggies are the Formula cars of Dirt I love that veiw now STEP ON THE GAS!!!!!!!!
That first F-150 is awesome looking to me. It probably doesn't perform like the others, but it is cool lookin'. The Super Duty needs some much MUCH larger tires. With a lift that high, he could be running 54s no problem. The Hummer would be cool if it wasn't pink. The other 2 desert shots are awesome. I'd love to have a prerunner truck, but I'm nowhere near the desert, so I wouldn't have any trails to play on.

You got it right! The big wheels to some extent are a young guy thing, because lookin cool for the ladies is what it's all about (seriously, we've all made some questionable decisions in the name of skirt-chasing).
Those of us who have no desert to play in (sh!t you cant even find a decent hill in Houston), but still want a little height go for the bracket lifts. My lift came about partially because of how often the streets in parts of Houston flood. I was stuck at my office a couple of years ago until almost 9pm because of high water....not anymore!
I think some of y'alls desert / pre-runner trucks look phenominal regardless of the functionality...I have no use for all of that suspension travel and what not, but I can still appreciate the trucks for what they are.
What i have not been able to figure out is why the bashing of other T's usually comes from the desert guys...? I dont read any bashing coming from the dropped crowd...or the 75" custom lift crowd...or the 26" rim crowd.
I've read a ton of good advice from the desert crowd when functionality opinions are solicited, but when "how does this look" threads pop up...well lets just say they werent asking for a functionality opinion...

im in houston to, and the most "offroading" ive done is driving into the yard so i could wash both sides (driveway is small with 3 rides in it). i like the low slung big rim look, but not the overdone 36" rims and rubberband tires. I prefer the "street truck" look. i dont get the whole fad with lifting a car (trucks maybe but a car??) to fit bigger wheels under it.. a buddy of mine had a bagged silverado that would lay frame over 20's. I thought it was the ****!! practical? no! cool as hell?? hell yes!
I see ALOT of trucks around here that are jacked WAY up, its texas.. everything is bigger!! i appreciate them just the same, but i dont think i would ever own one. id rather have a capable jeep or blazer, then a jacked up blinged out pickup.

All you need is some dirt trails and go as fast as you can there is a technique but you get the concept.
When you do this you will want more suspension travel

That's it, the desert crowed are desert racing enthusiast.
And are function oriented, we want to mod with parts that will give us handling and plush ride hauling a$$ threw the desert.
and landing a little air.
big wheels take away from off road performance, they are heavier and provide less sidewall which is a secondary suspension shock absorbing property.
NOW on a lowered Titan I would install 20" Rays Gram lites.
Shorter sidewall tire for cornering and lite ( less unsprung weight ) for performance. again function oriented

Not in my case. I know 30 may still be young for some on here but I'm happily married and don't have anywhere to ride desert terrain. I have a few mud holes, but between the different styles I like the Pre-Runner the best and nowhere to use that setup. My truck is the product of wanting to make it my own and the environment it's in. After having the 24's for a week now, I'm seriously thinking about a change though. I don't like the ride and having to baby the truck is retarded. I'm at a field site supporting the military and got to drive my truck since it was close enough. Well, I finally get to drive off road a little and have to go all slow due to the rims... It sucks. I might be posting them on here for sale soon, to swap for some 35's or 36's. We'll see.
