E load VS. D load tire?

I have a MT ATZ 325/65 e load tire, my local shop was telling me, d loads ride much smoother than an e load. Because he test drove my truck and he said my tires have a very hard compound so I might want to change them out if i dont do a lot of towing. Is this true?

Re: E load VS. D load tire?

Wouldn't hurt, save a little money, also. "E" loads have to run at a much higher air pressure also harshening the ride.
