Thanks again Greg for the MT setup... Nothing like getting off work on a Friday and going straight to the desert... took a couple pics with my cell out in Jean, NV.
I removed the rear cargo box because it was hanging low. When the stock shackle failed I was 30+ miles from the house and had to drive it home. The leaf spring stack was resting on the bed support that the box bolts to and subsequently tweaked the f**k out of it. Fix is on the way. That's the least of my worries. I have over a 100 pop rivets in the bed of my truck holding things together. Spot welds everywhere have failed. As you can see from the pic I had to put some steel straps on the bed to stiffen it up. Also I installed the bed slider and drilled 2 holes to pick up the bolt holes in the bed and installed a brass bushing in between. Cheap and easy bed stiffener... and yesterdays trip out in the desert definitely proved it. Highly recommend bed stiffeners BEFORE you start off roading
Can someone put the pics up for me from clubfrontier.org I can't post url's until I have 15 posts. And my pics are too big for titantalk. My pics are in the suspension forum under "The moment we've all been waiting for... ladies and gentlemen, the dezert runner" sorry being a pain but I thought you guys would like to see pics. Later
