Got my new shocks!

I just got my new shocks in. $136 total from shockwarehouse.com i can't wait to install them. I also got the spacers from NCD customs. These are the heavy duty bilsteins. Not the 5100's. Anyone else have experience with these? I'm trying to post a picture of them but I can't figure out how.

Re: Got my new shocks!

I think PRG sells these same shocks but you can order them all built up with springs installed so its an easy swap. You just send him your old shocks after and he swaps them out for the next person. This is nice because it will save you time and you wont need any tools to remove the spring yourself.

They are. I was using some generic spring compressor made out of thick iron and they were bending because of the spring's strength. Can be done, but it's better to use one of those HD floor or wall mounted versions.

I had a little trouble mounting the rears also, because my light azz could not compress the shocks by hand. I ended mounting 'em on the top mount and using a jack to push the rods into the shock to enable to mount them to the lower mount on the axle. Once done, you're notice a difference right away. The suspension is firm without any jarring. Very good struts and shock Bilstien made with excellent damping properties. Good buy IMO.

Yes they're on and they're great! I love them. A big difference over the stock ranchos. Prob cause the old needed to be changed anyway. I would recommend getting the ones from prg though that are already put together. It was a PITA to change those shocks. Those springs are strong as hell. I was using a generic spring compressor and it ended up breaking right when i was finishing. Scary as hell! Big up's to bilstein though. Great shock.
