Please help, 4" Spindle lift question

alright, i have about $2000, plus or minus a little and i am looking at the 4" Spindle lift from PRG. I have a 2005 KC 4X2 SE. Also, i want new rims and tires. whats the largest tires i can get on my truck without too much work. i want to stay with the 18" rim, but a new rim. please help me decide what to get. i know the lift is $900, so im looking at tires, rims, or both for $1100-$1400. thanks guys

A 35x12.50 is the biggest tire you can run.

Re: Please help, 4" Spindle lift question

I'd go 35's on 17's and then look on craigslist for h2 take offs (315 70 17) which is about a 35. thats what I did, I got 5 brand new bfg ATs (315 70 17) for $300. H2 take off are all over the place for cheap.

Re: Please help, 4" Spindle lift question

I ran a set of BFG's in the 315 size on the stock factory off-road wheels and they just cleared after the famous "Pinchweld Mod"...The trick is finding wheels that don't have too little backspacing, many out there are 4.5" which I would think will rub with a set of 315"s...

Re: Please help, 4" Spindle lift question

i got 35x12.5/17 and i had to do the pinch weld... but that is a great size tire for that spindle lift if you are gonna do the level kit w/ it otherwise a 33" tire would be good too

Re: Please help, 4" Spindle lift question

I would stick with a 33" until you go higher with a leveling kit. Only to keep the better articulation of the front suspension without the tires rubbing.
BGF A/T'S Look good in 33" for that lift.

are you getting a 2.5" spacer to go with the spindle kit? you'll get about 6.5" of lift in the front with that combo, more tire clearance. and as someone mentioned try to find a wheel with less than 4.5" of backspace or you'll rub or do the pinch-weld mod and don't worry about 4.5" of backspacing.

He's talking about combining a coil spacer(leveling kit) with the spindle's which will give you 6.5" of lift in the front.

If you're getting the Spindles and the spacer, definitely get 35x12.50s (or the metric equivelent).

Re: Please help, 4" Spindle lift question

i think i am going to stay with the 315/70/17. its a 34.41, and a whole heck of a lot less expensive. i ordered the helo maxx6 black rims yesterday and will be getting the tires today and lift tomorrow. i will take pictures and let you all know how it goes. has anyone else installed this lift? is it easy? how long should it take? thanks guys

315/70/17 is pretty much the metric equivalent to a 35x12.5x17...... its gonna be a nice combo. i've seen black helo maxx6s on several titans and they go well and look good on the titan! you'll be happy!

Re: Please help, 4" Spindle lift question

so this is what i ordered...4" spindle lift with 2.5 leveling kit and 4" block in back (greg is setting me up, so if im missing something he knows what it is), 17x9 helo maxx6 black rims (i wanted the moto metal 951B but too many people on here had probs with them not fitting right) with 4.5 BS and -12 offset, 315/70/17 (34.41) Nitto Dune Grapplers with flames since im a firefighter, thought it would be ironic. anyway, if everything gets in soon ill be putting the lift on Sunday March 9th. ill put pics up as soon as possible.
