Deaver 4-5" Race Spring

my coilover racerunner is amazing (to me) i can hit bumps and assorted obstacles at 50+ with very little affect, but my rear (bilstein or a radflo dont remember) is really really lacking in that what ever i hit, it hits hard. hit a bump so hard it turned on my windshield wipers. so i was wondering what i could do to fix it? maybe DEAVER 4-5" RACE SPRING?

Re: Deaver 4-5" Race Spring

Call me for the scoop on the springs. Although they can work well, you need more shock for your driving style. To get the spring to work right you will need to run a longer shackle and to move the rear spring hanger. Deaver alos has a new spring under set-up. Do you plan on running the shocks through the bed?

Hi MX, I was wondering the same thing and posted a reply to Greg. And when he didn't reply (I got a little inpatient) I called and he said he thought you where initially talking about the DEAVER 4-5" RACE SPRING. SO with that said I ask before I put on these new shackles you just sent me can I get better performance by installing a longer shackle and relocating the mount? He said no, I thought he was talking about the DEAVER 4-5" RACE SPRING. If you want to hit it harder let me re valve your Radflow's . And I said OK. So MX what spring and shock set up do you have? do still have the overload spring?

OK here's the problem, Lose the block's overload springs and the Bilsteins, then install the Deaver mini pack and a Radflow or Saw-A-Way shock (rebuild-able and custom valve-able) and the PRG HD SHACKLES. Thats the next step to P-L-U-S-H in the back.

Re: Deaver 4-5" Race Spring

My reply was strictly speaking of the Deaver 4-5" race spring. Not our mini-packs.

Re: Deaver 4-5" Race Spring

I'm not cutting holes in my bed because i don't off-road enough to justify losing space in my bed for my dirt bikes. I was just curious as to what i should to make my rear as plush as my front and gain some height (because i plan on going higher in the front as well) sounds like the answer would be "install the Deaver mini pack and a Radflow or Saw-A-Way shock (rebuild-able and custom valve-able) and the PRG HD SHACKLES."

now that sounds good and all but how high would that put me up in the air?

About 2" if you want to go higher then you will have to use blocks and the drive shaft carrier drop down bracket. With tubular A-arms you can adjust your SAW's for more lift then choose what thickness of block to gain your preferred stance.(height in the rear)
Pic below is with Deaver mini pack and 2" blocks and carrier drop down bracket

That lift is done with with Tubular A-arm's , 4" spindles and Donahoe racing coilover with a flipped top mount, Deaver spring pack and a block ( what size?) call Greg.
Tubluar A-arms: A-arms made from tubing.

Re: Deaver 4-5" Race Spring

-A-Arms: $450-$650 Camburg, Total Chaos, NCD and PRG's

-Yes, SAW's can be used. FYI, the SAW's (depending on which SAW's you have) are
1" longer than the DR's.

-The DR's come with a mounting bracket on top if the shock. You can flip the mount up side down which will give you about an extra 1.5" lift.

-Deaver Spring Pack? I don't know.

good job splif...

deaver spring pack from greg's site: prgproducts.com

DEAVER 1.5" MINI PACK

This leaf spring pack is manufactured exclusively for us to our specification. It gives you approximately 1.50" of lift and can be used with rear blocks for added lift. The Deavers lessen axle wrap and greatly improve the ride of your Titan. Typically, longer shocks are required. We recommend the Bilstein rear replacement shocks sold right here on PRGproducts.Com! Click here to see a comparison of the Deaver Mini Pack to the stock spring.
$219 - FREE SHIPPING

DEAVER 2.5" MINI PACK

Similar to the 1" and 1.5" mini packs, this is a 3-leaf spring pack that mounts in place of the overload leaf, but provides approx 2.5" of lift and a bit firmer ride with greater load capacity over the 1" and 1.5" packs.

$219 - FREE SHIPPING

DEAVER 4-5" RACE SPRING

The DEAVER 4-5" RACE SPRING is a race-style complete spring pack that offers approx 5" of rear lift. It has a military wrap front eye and offers a race-inspired ride. Our experience shows that a heavy-duty shackle should be run with these springs as the stock shackles tend to fail due to the higher spring rate.

$649 plus shipping (shipping based on weight and your location – actual shipping, no handling fees – we will bill you for shipping charges prior to your order leaving – you may call for a quote)
