Re: 4wd coil spring

4wd coils are a stiffer by about 100lbs/in. but not longer. But the 2 on 4wd '08 the coils are longer than previous years...but the same spring rate (except for the 4wd longbed, which is stiffer).

Greg, are you saying on the '08 trucks the 2wd and 4wd coils have the same spring rate, but the 4wd spring has more free height? Or are you saying the '08 4wd coil has the same rate as previous years 4wd coil but has more free height?

Re: 4wd coil spring

Yes on the second part of your question. '08 same rates, longer coils ofr 2 and 4wd. But the 4wd LB has an even heavier rate.

Re: 4wd coil spring

my friend has a fairly new set of titan 4wd coils ,so i was just wondering if there would be a better diffrence if i changed my 2wd ones out for the 4wd ones maybe a stiffer ride i think the ones i have now are kinda soft i would like it a little more stiffer ,coil over would be my best bet but those gotta wait for now

+1 to that. I think Greg had mentioned this would work as you are thinking. If not he makes a nice coil over setup.

Re: 4wd coil spring

It probably won't get much better if the shock sucks.

Not worth the work IMHO...4WD still has crappy stock shocks...maybe bilsteins...they go for under a 100 each.
