Installation questions...

Hi all,

I am preparing to install a set of Total Chaos UCA. Was wondering 2 things... insight from any DIY-ers who have done it would be awesome:

1. How long did both sides take you to do? (I have air tools)

2. I read the very helpful instructions and saw the image in the thread about installing the Total Chaos UCA... BUT this line confuses me:

you might be able to sweet talk the seller into installing the zirc(sp?) fittings for you. If you do not have a tap and die set this would be a great help to you.

What is this exactly (I don't have the parts in hand yet)? The Total Chaos arms don't come with this pre-assembled?

Any help would be appreciated!!! THANKS GUYS!!!
Edwin

Re: Installation questions...

While I know nothing about your installation or parts, this should help you understand the butchered spelling you mention: Zerk Fitting

You need to create a threaded hole to insert the fitting, but I bet few people actually bother.

i bought my arms from another member who already installed the zerk fittings...but i wouldnt suggest installing the arms without them. the bushings NEED to be lubed every now and again...having the zerk fittings in place will make the job a 2 min job....instead of 2 hour min.

THE ZIRC fittings are the little fitting you use to grease the UCA bushings.and they come pre tapped ready to install, that must be old info.
