new titan lift

hello everyone this is my first post, i'm new here....well let me tell you what brings me here. i'm currently depolyed to iraq still have quite a while left, about 2 weeks ago my wife surprised me with a 2008.5 titan crew cab 4x4, the color is smoke, i haven't seen it in person, only pics that she sends me. so i wanted to do some research and see what it was like and stumbled across this website, i have been on here every night for about 2 weeks now and finally decide to post. i'm going to get the truck lifted when i get home, i'm lookin at a pro comp 6 in lift w/ coilovers, magna flow dual exhaust, xd series wheels, and pro comp tire in the 35 range, i was wondering, i got a quote of about $4600 not including labor of course the place is called RPM Performance in Bristol TN i think it's about 3 or 4 hours from my home, i was wondering if this seems pretty fair and if anyone had ever heard of this place, there aren't any 4x4 shops where i live and i really don't know much about getting a truck lifted. thanks any input would be greatly appreciated

Re: new titan lift

idk about the quote you got whether its good or not but i would scrap the procomp stage 2 and just get the stage 1 and aftermarket coilovers. not to many people on here have been happy with them, note that this is just what ive read. you can go with radflo 2.0s for the same price as getting the stage 2 kit with their coilovers

oh and welcome to the site and stay safe out there

Re: new titan lift

Get the stage 1 in a get a good set of coilovers. I bought everything myself and installed in my self for 3200. This includes the procomp stage 1, 18" procomp rims, and 35" toyo MT's. If i would have had the local 4x4 shop do the install it would have cost about 4k even. So the price sounds a little steep to me.

Re: new titan lift

i think i'm getting the same answers across the board so i'm going to head back to the drawing board and take a look at the stage I and take a look at the radflo 2.0's and possibly another brand or two of coilovers i really appreciate the help

Re: new titan lift

You can't use the Radflo 2.0s with a bracket lift, I know Greg sells SAWs for lifted Titans, but I'm not sure if there are any others out there.

Yeah that's your best bet. He'll get you set up with something to suite your needs, and probably cheaper than just buying the bracket lift and C/Os seperately. Good luck, be sure to post pics!

Re: new titan lift

First of all THANK YOU, for what you are doing for our country. I have the up most respect for our troops.

Second, call Greg tell'em what your after or you think you are after and he will set you up right. I didn't know about him when I purchased my Pro Comp Lift Stage 1, but at least I do now, and am planning on getting coilovers from him this summer. I am chomping at the bit to get them, but need to get back to work steady before doing so. Have no complaints about the lift, just had to grind the steering stops some to get back a good turning radius. Not a big deal. Look forward to seeing your pics of your new lifted Titan. More so that will mean that you are back and we can officially welcome you home.
