My ride is firmer than stock but the shocks have only 200 miles on them. Mine are set on the 2 inch lift line and I got 3 in out of it. My original measurement was 37 and now its at 40. Pretty cool. Be sure to line the springs up exactly the same as the stock or the studs at the top will not line up. Don't ask me how I know.
They are awesome off road ... I live on a gravel road so mine see about 2 miles of rocky road and washboard daily ... i have fully extended them and no "clunk" like the factory junk. They absorb the bumps beautifully ... i have a part the is washboardy on one side but not the other ... at 35mph with the stockers, it would almost put the truck sideways ... with Bilstein, stright as an arrow.
Yhey will work with any lift the uses the factory shocks. Just set the snap ring to the bottom groove ... then they are factory replacement with no lift.

You got my interest now and offroadwarehouse now has the front shocks selling for $89.95 each. I'm going to buy a pair and most likely have to remove my leveling kit. I hope they go smooth with the Icons I have in the rear.

You can do it. You can set them a 2" and get a 2" leveling kit. You will also need a set of Upper Control Arms like total chaos or prg's. It would might ride rought but its a cheap way to get 4 inches up front.

Like I stated above, I think you can use the 5100's with a levelling kit IF you set them to 0" of lift. (No lift) Don't take my word on it though. Greg with PRG said the same thing here:
