Re: I launched!!!!!!!

DUI on a bike is virtually the same as DUI in a car.

For punishment, yes. Danger to others, no.

A 120-pound woman can reach a .08 BAC level after only two drinks and a 180-pound man can be at .08 after only four drinks.
A "drink" is either one shot of liquor, a five-ounce glass of wine or one beer, all of which contain the same amount of alcohol.

At a .08 BAC level, drivers are so impaired that they are 11 times more likely to have a single-vehicle crash than drivers with no alcohol in their system. But 25 years of research has shown that some impairment begins for both males and females even after one drink.

.02 BAC Level
At the .02 blood alcohol concentration level, experiments have demostrated that people exhibit some loss of judgment, begin to relax and feel good. But tests have also shown that drivers at the .02 level experience a decline in visual functions, affecting their ability to track a moving object, and experience a decline in the ability to perform two tasks at the same time.
These changes may be very subtle and barely noticable to the person who has had only one drink, but in an emergency situation while behind the wheel of a vehicle, they could cause the driver to react (or not react) as they would without having had a drink.
.08 means nothing when you're 17. When it comes to underage drinking there is a no tolerance law so he is F'ed whether he had 1 shot, 1 beer, or 6 beers. I am surprised that an officer would pull him over for driving so slow, being told the truck was damaged, smelling alcohol on a minor and letting him then drive away. I doubt the officer had a clue the kid was drinking.

It would of gotten closed already. People have been shot and killed and raped in this place. Not even the sherriffs go to S*** creek. A 19 year old woman was found buried dead in the sand and she was found after all the trucks and quads passed so much that she resurfaced. They still didnt close this place down. Now, jackrabbit trail.......thats a different story. That place was shut down. But S*** creek will never be shut down. Theres way more S*** happening there than just "drinking".

At 17, a lot of us probably had the same attitude, but after watching most of our off road area disappear because of jackholes.. We are a little protective...

I'm kinda of curious as to why you think this place won't get closed down?

If your reasoning is that a lot of bad stuff has happened to this place and it still isn't closed. Well, then you're in for a rude awakening!

I go all over the US ... I have yet to find a place where it is acceptable for a minor to drink ... unless mommy or daddy served it. And it is not acceptable ANYWHERE in the US to drink any amount, then drive.

then you'll want to stay the f*ck out of Mexico where driving under the influence and underage is rampant as well as driving like a madman.
