Shock eyelet lubrication...

I've been looking for some type of lube for the eyes on my SAW coilovers. Came across this stuff at Lowes this morning. Seems like good stuff. $5.00 a can.

Dupont TeflonŽ Multi-Use Dry, Wax Lubricant

The Clean Lube - No Oily Film - Sets Up Dry!
-Lasts 3 - 5 times longer in friction testing against other leading lubricants.
-Goes on wet to penetrate, sets up with a clean, TeflonŽ wax film which will not attract dirt or grime.
-Lasting protection against rust and oxidation.
-Non-staining film

Re: Shock eyelet lubrication...

Ive tried a couple different kinds of lube and WD 40 seems to the best. It keeps the squeeks away the longest anyway.

Re: Shock eyelet lubrication...

I prefer this over anything else I've tried. It seems to penetrate and lube better than WD-40 on applications where I have used the product. This is what I've sprayed on my UCA heims, along with my springs on the rear suspension. So far, it's done the job extremely well. Whereas, WD-40 seemed to wear off quicker and not last near as long.

Re: Shock eyelet lubrication...

I have used a product for years that you'd love... I'll have to get back to you on the maker though... It is a rubber lube, but dries within 45 min. I've used it in some of the work I do for a friend of mine. He rebuilds "Knee-action" shocks for older cars. He's never had any complains yet about it, and it's been 3 years.
PM me if you are interested...
