Re: i need EVERYONES help

First off, that's not two thumbs up... You just gave everyone the F U Twice....

Be nice!

Don't worry. Just about every single young newb does that. You're not unique......

Bagging? Most who've lowered a Titan usually do it with lowering shackles or by removing or changing some of the rear springs. I don't know of any "bagged" Titans on here. Most of those are done by companies like Devious Customs http://www.deviouscustoms.com/Home/t...6/Default.aspx or Tricked Out Customs or some other shop like that. It's a fairly complicated and major suspension modification. I've seen them in magazines, but not in person.

You may want to pick up a mag like Sport Truck or Truckin' or any of the other mags devoted to radical custom trucks and check some of the ads for leads in this area.

Good luck.

Re: i need EVERYONES help

I've only seen one pic of a bagged and dropped Titan, and it wasn't a member. But maybe someone here will know somebody who has a friend....

Best of luck!

Re: i need EVERYONES help

to bag a titan it takes alot of kutting!!!!!! what rims do you have? size? everything is going to have to be custom.....biokustomz sells the lowering spindles....800ish..... you can custom fab the 4 link! or get the universal full size truck kit ( i would go 4 link for towing etc.) controll arms are going to be custom or fab the stocks. have to relocate the engine fuse box/abs/ brake booster (that sux arse!) thats if you have 24" or bigger..battery...its a lot of work! check out the may 08 SPORT TRUCK mag it has a titan in it! good luck...thats why you dont see to many bagged titans......maybe mine in a few months

Re: i need EVERYONES help

this brings back memories....i had a bagged S10 4 years back that laid frame on 18/20 ...nothing better than layin it out going down the highway and watching everyone point and stare

anyways...you should be able to lay frame w/o cutting on 22's...bigger than that and you will for sure have to start hacking/relocating

you can order all the air related parts (tank, compressor, relay, valves, air bags, air line) from this guy named Jason...he is VERY popular on s10forum.com he has his own fabrication business...he is basically to bagged trucks as what PRG/greg is to lifted trucks so to speak...he is an expert and a nice guy so don't be afraid to ask him questions...i've ordered from him many times and have never been disappointed....his fabricated parts have some of the best welds i've ever seen

check his site out here: http://www.suicidedoors.com/

get an engine driven compressor (fills tank faster/runs quiet) and get 1/2" valves with 3/4" airline b/c the inner orifice of the 3/4" airline is about 1/2" which means it will dump the air quick so you wont look retarded when it takes 5 mins to completely lay your truck out in the parking lot

go with an 8 valve setup so you can adjust all 4 corners independently of one another...tilt side to side and so on

as for the suspension components...it will have to be a custom job

go with a 4 link either forward or reverse and PLEASE have a reputable and proven shop do the work...i've seen so many hack jobs

good luck

Re: i need EVERYONES help

Be wary of backyard bag jobs...

I have had experience with them working in a shop back when I was growing up. Alot of guys will just get a piece of square tubing and cut a arm and mig weld a cup on it and call it good. This DOES NOT last very long, so be afraid of those jobs. I bet I have seen 250 different mini trucks and full size trucks with this and they always break the cups off due to the caster/camber change when inflated and deflated.

If your gonna do this be patient and do it right the first time to save yourself money. I know that sounds contradicting but its true. Do what SC Titan is telling you, he is spot on with his information about the valves, and the compressor. Also if you wanna be cool you can find a metal shoip to cut you some titanium blocks to mount on your frame rails so when you lay the frame you give off bright white sparks instad of grinding on your actual frame. so it will look like your grinding frame from the exterior, but realistically you will just be grinding the titanium down.

Also keep all the factory parts possible. I dunno how many times I had people come back a year or 2 later wanting the truck to be returned to stock but they threw away there parts or gave them to a buddy for whatever reason.

Re: i need EVERYONES help

FWIW, lowincarmada and slamdxterra both own Armadas and bag trucks for a living. They are both in the Dallas metro.

Lowincarmada converted the front end of his Armada to a QX56 and lowered it while Slamdxterra used a fabtech front and bagged the rear to lift his Armada 11".
