Did only the shock mounts rip off or did the spring plate break too?

Some plate on the stock mounts may have saved it.

Ya know, I've wondered about those mounts, they seem pretty flimsy to me, even for non-hardcore driving.

looks to me like the bolt for the traction bar came out, causing the axle to wrap, which in turn busted the shock mount.

but hey, looks like the shackles held up!

oh no... sorry kev, that's a pic of Greg's when he blew his shock tabs off. my response to Kartman should of read, "i should have that done...too" as in preventative action before blowing them off. ask, greg... i think he just welded them back on till he went with his ferd 9 and rear bed cage.

Greg called me after he did that and said add some plate to the axle tabs. Never had a problem after doing that. I have to get that done on my new axle now too.

All I have at the moment since I no longer have the rearend. I should be plating the mounts on the new rearend this weekend so I will grab some pics.
