Talking I finally got it

this weekend for my birthday my dad helped me out by buying a ProComp 6" Stage 2 Lift!!! I'm so excited about it. We were going to install it ourselves however we found a pretty good deal in the area and just decided to have them do it. I cant wait to see it, it should be done tomorrow i think. The only bad thing is I'm probably going to have to keep the stock wheels and tires until i can make enough money for them but once i do get enough I am looking at getting 18" KMC Monster wheels and 35" BFG AT's. Anyone know one of the least expensive places to get these?

Nice! Should look good. My dad has seen a few lifted titans with that set up with stock rims/tires and he says it doesn't look that bad at all.

Re: I finally got it

Hey man I found my tires on Ebay for $300. They were take offs from an H2. They are BFG all terrain KO 315/70/17 and were in almost perfect shape. I got my wheels 17x8 Helo wheels from offroadunlimited.com. A lot of people are hung up on 20 inch wheels but with 35 inch tires on 20's defeat the purpose. Less rubber means you just took your high dollar shocks out of the equation. Resist the temptation to put disco wheels on...

$300! What a deal. I just bought a set for my Titan for $640. Still not bad in the grand scheme of things.

Re: I finally got it

Alright I finally got the truck back today and i was amazed, my dad had told them to put on some **** Cepek 18" wheels and 35" tires without me knowing so i was expecting it to be with stock tires on and then i saw it and about died lol. I'm paying him back for them of course tho but still. It was 1400 for the wheels and tires together. The lift and tires are great, i expected everything to be uncomfortable but instead i have a much smoother than stock ride. The only bad thing is i think the wheel rubs when i turn sharp because i made a sorta sharp turn and it made a loud rumbling noise so i was pretty sure that was it. And on top of all this i ordered an AEM Bruteforce for the truck so I am extrememly excited about it all

Re: I finally got it

I'm working on putting up pics right now. So quick question, do any of you all with 35" tires have a problem with them rubbing? when i turn just a little sharp they start making the rubbing sound. Any suggestions on how to get rid of that?

Re: I finally got it

yeah, you'll have to do some trimming. possibly the bottom corner of the front bumper too. and if they didn't remove the mudflaps, you'll want to do that. congrats, tighten up on the picks!

you can also upload your pics to a photobucket account, if you've got one. its free but takes longer than the option above.
