Re: quick question my friends: 4x4 coilovers?

I believe they will work. I think the difference is in the spring. If I'm not mistaken, the 4WDs have a heavier/stiffer spring than the 2WDs. You'd probably have a stiffer ride than if you got aftermarket coilovers for a 2WD Titan.

Re: quick question my friends: 4x4 coilovers?

I'm curious if 08 shocks would give a little more lift on previous years. specifically the 08 pro4x since it'd have stiff springs and probably ranchos... not that ranchos are good. but 1" of lift on an 04-07 with high mileage for a newer set used from a member could kill 2 birds with one stone for ALOT of people who don't want coilovers or leveling kits. the people who *like* to have oem stuff only... personally I think the bilstein upgrade is bare minimum but not everyone is interested in that much work so just a thought I had and wanted to think it aloud

Re: quick question my friends: 4x4 coilovers?

reason being is because i'm actually trying to purchase radflo's from a 4x4 set up and i was wondering if it would work on my 4x2 and is the main difference the extra inch of lift from the 4x2 and the spring rate? if i use these 4x4 radflo's on my 4x2 will not get the 3.5 inches as stated on prg website and only give me 2.5?? anybody else have any input?

Re: quick question my friends: 4x4 coilovers?

They will work fine. Depending on the application, I often set-up a 2wd with the heavier spring used on the 4wd coilovers. And the '08 parts are a nice upgrade over the earlier parts.

Re: quick question my friends: 4x4 coilovers?

i accidentally created another thread essentially asking all of the same questions before seeing this one...no worries though, i deleted the old one.

but, there is one question that was hinted at but was never answered. will putting the rancho shocks off of an 08 4x4 lift the front end of the 2wd 07?
