what else do i need for a lift?

iam looking at getting a procomp 6" stage 1 lift kit. would like to know what would be the benefit of going with a remote reservoir rather than the swa a way coil overs. and do i need anything in the rear to make the truck sit level.

Re: what else do i need for a lift?

I'm a newbie too so I'll help out!

I'm not too familiar with the SAW's coilovers. I have the procomp lift stage 2 with the prorunner coilovers and Fox resevoirs in the rear. My truck sits close to level. In reading some of the other threads a lot of guys are using the PRG shackles to adjust the height of the rear.

Also, prerunner greg has a lot of info on suspension so you might want to hit him up for the details. Good luck!

'bout half of people with lifted trucks with resi coilovers have them for looks, the other half actually need and use the increased dampening/compression quality they offer in higher speed off-roading.........if you fit in one of those categories, they're the right coilover for you.

they are usually not needed and the extra expense is not worth it, the coilovers sans resi offered by PRG (SAW, Icon/DR, Radflo) are more than enough to give a b!tchin ride on and off road

Re: what else do i need for a lift?

resi shocks just make your shocks run cooler if your going high speed through woops and bumps, i think?

^Yep...also less resistance for the fluid...fluid moving throught a strait line runs better than through a sharp bend...
