Leveling kit before lift

Is my assumption correct that before you lift a truck it must have a leveling kit. Or does the lift do that business also? Thanks.

Re: Leveling kit before lift

no you do not need a leveling kit to lift your truck. Give us more specifics on your truck 2wd or 4wd? What type of lift or you looking for 2"?4"?6"? more? If you give more details we will be able to point you in the right direction.

Re: Leveling kit before lift

As a matter of fact you CANT have a leveling kit then. You will have to take it off when you put the bigger lift on.

Re: Leveling kit before lift

That is what I did, I did not have the money for a full lift at first so I put a leveling kit on. Then a year later I wanted to go bigger and saved up for the lift and did it. If you are planning on going with a 6" down the road, I would recommend just waiting and do that when you can, no need to waste money on the level if you are just going to take it off.

Re: Leveling kit before lift

I think you can find a used kit in the B/S section and once you step up to your 6 inch kit you can sell them for what you paid for them .. Or you call Greg and get the Leveling klt and when you are ready for the 6 inch kit, he helps you out since you are a repeat customer.

Re: Leveling kit before lift

Great help as always guys. I'll just start with the leveling kit for now. I don't see a lift in the near future. Between wheels, tires, & the lift your talking 3k. I'll keep my eye on the buy/sell forum. I think I saw a 4" DR performance set up for 1300k. Thanks again.

Re: Leveling kit before lift

you can do a 4'' spindle lift with a leveling kit for the front with 4'' rear blocks and new rear springs! you will also need to get new break lines and a CBDB!

if you go that route you can keep the leveler!

Re: Leveling kit before lift

Your right. Thanks. Leveling kit first I think. Unless I can find a deal on a lift first.
