Re: Offroad Tool Essentials

Make sure the wrenches and sockets, and especially the screwdriver and crescent wrench are metric.

Adding to BECHLYF's list, things that are always in my Titan: gloves, jumper cables, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and Oreo cookies.

I also take a Hi-Lift jack with me. While I essentially only have 6 places to use the Hi-Lift: all four wheels with a special adapter, hitch and winch mount, the Hi-Lift jack can come in handy in a lot of other ways.

It's a bit uncommon but I also carry an avalanche probe.

Always give someone your itinerary and expected time of return.

Sand (PMP) or bridging ladders (waffle boards) to place under the wheels.

Re: Offroad Tool Essentials

All awesome replies!!!

My wife is my co-pilot this weekend. I love her to death, but she doesn't understand how I roll offroad. I swear, sometimes I wish I had the ejecto seat from fast and furious when I'm offroad with her.

I'll be out there with my brother in law and his girlfriend. He's bring his dodge so I'm sure we'll have a blast.

Seriously! We were out at Rasor Rd last thanksgiving and I had to pull him out. In his defense he did have his trailer hitched up, but that made it even cooler... Titan pulling out a dodge 2500 with a 28' trailer behind the diesel clunker. Wish I would have gotten a video of that....

25) Baby-wipes (no joke). I always carry one of the plastic tube-type baby-wipe containers in my driver's door. They are SO handy for quick clean-ups - ESPECIALLY out in the dusty desert...
