Re: Just installed 3" Rough Country Lift

I actually just installed mine in yesterday. I have an 08 crew 2wd, and with the 1 1/2 inch block in the rear, my front sits higher than my rear. Weird. But the kit is pretty tough. Took it for a short light off roading (loose gravel and some mounds) and it held pretty well. No clunk so far, and for street driving, it is still the same as stock.

Re: Just installed 3" Rough Country Lift

This was the thread I was looking for, thanks. I am debating what to do right now. I have the 4" CST spindle. I already have wheels and tires. 325/65-18 Nitto Terra Grappler's on 9" wide xd revolvers with a 4 3/4 backspacing. I was debating buying this kit also to give me 7" up front. Those tires are huge, and I don't want to rub. I will do rear blocks and shocks according to what I work out in front.

Re: Just installed 3" Rough Country Lift

UPDATE! The tires I ordered are HUGE!.........and dont fit haha. they were rubbing on the upper control arms, so im gonna move down to a 305/60/18 because i dont feel like ordering tires in until one fits. they should be here wednesday.

Re: Just installed 3" Rough Country Lift

is the side of the tire rubbing the upper control arm? if so sounds more like the backspacing not the tire size

they might be rubbing because of the positive off set of the rim....... not the tire

Re: Just installed 3" Rough Country Lift

should have got 325/60/18 they would fit or even a 305/65 or 285/70 maybe. those 305/60 maybe too small

Re: Just installed 3" Rough Country Lift

well we went with 285/65/18's. they had them in stock so we went with those, i got the rims and tires on tonight and it looks awesome, i will post pictures tomorrow. i took my running boards off but i dont know if i like the look of it without them. it looked beefier with them on so those might be going back on tomorrow.

I will get some better pictures of the actual rims tomorrow

tell me what I should do next to my truck. im definatly thinkin black out the tail lights and a new exhaust would be nice

I think you need the running boards back on.
