Re: Bilstein 5100 on lowered titan

i am going to be getting rid of the 5100's and am going to use a Belltech adjustable strut to drop my front 2" and drop the back with leaf springs and add Belltech shocks. The 5100's are for stock or slightly lifted vehicles...In the rear they will actually raise you 1/4" stock.

If i get the Belltech adjustable struts for the front do you think I should put the stock spring back on or leave -2" mcgaughy's spring on? Also when lowered trucks "bottom out" does that mean hitting the bump stops or the the actual shock "bottoming out"?

Personnaly, i would put the OEM spring back on...I'm 95% sure it means the bumpstops. I have heard several members mention cutting the bumpstops off or in half so they don't bottom out so easy
