Hey thanks for the tips. I did order longer brake lines just in case but my kit came with front brake line brackets so hopefully I wont have that issue. The only issue I think will be a problem is getting the bearings out of the old knuckles. I only have the truck and a motorcycle so if I cant get them out then I will have to call some one to come get me.
So once all the thunder storms here go away I will take a weekend and knock this out. Hopefully in a week or maybe two. Thanks for the info.

Dam yours came with break line brakets? I ordered mine right from Rough Country and it didn't? Did come with rear shocks and everything else I needed. I actually just sprayed all my parts down with wd 40 starting to squeek again, your truck is going to look bad *** when it's done. I have never seen a lifted white Titan cant wait to see pics. Wish I was closer to help out I have relatives in Mobile and Fairhope, good luck.
Truck looks great. Are there part numbers for the parts in the kit? I would like to know what is the Part# of the ball joint?
The 6" Rough Country Lift Part# 875S reuses a lot of the factory hardware including the ball joints. You can look at the installation directions from there website which includes a list of parts included in this lift kit. Sorry to say it doesn't list part numbers though.

I would be nice to have help. Thanks for the thought Yetti. I was an jet aircraft mechanic for many years before making the switch to flying them and I have had my fair share of non-complying repairs. So I have learned to identify, prepare and minimize the issues that might come up. But mainly I have just learned to except the inevitable and suck it up. Ahahaha! As for my truck. I don't think I have ever seen a white long bed lifted before. So I am really excited to see how it looks.

OK, so this weekend I installed my Rough Country 6" lift on my 2008 Titan SE 4X4 King Cab Long Bed and it was a nightmare. Yetti gave me advice and the area's he had problems with, which of course, were none of the problems I had. I started Saturday morning at 11 and finished about 7 that night. It took my another 3 hours on Sunday to finish the front, then I started working on the rear. I had to finish the rest on Monday afternoon which took me about 2 more hours. Here are the issue's I had:
1. I had to do some serious grinding to get the front cross member to fit. Not only that the bolt holes would not line up. Even though the holes are slotted the cross member was to far to the right (passenger side) for me to get the bolt thru. So I had to widen the slot about an 1/8".
2. I had no problems getting my hubs out of the stock knuckles but putting them back in was another story. The first one I used the bolts by tightening them in a circle to press the hub into the new knuckle. The other one would not work that way and I was afraid that I might cross thread the bolt so I had to improvise. I used the weight of the truck and jacked up the knuckle under the new cross member to press in the hub the rest of the way.
3. I had a hell of a time getting the upper ball joint attached to the knuckle. I couldn't simply jack the control arm to raise the knuckle to the upper ball joint because all it did was raise the truck. The strut wouldn't compress. The only place that worked was jacking directly under the lower ball joint. The problem with that is it would press the knuckle up against the bucket, not to mention I had to use a pry bar to pull down on the upper control arm. A couple hours later I finally won.
4. The kicker bars that run from the back cross member to the cross member under the transfer case called for a 1/2" by 3 1/2" bolt but the parts list and what I got was 5/8" bolt. They gave me 5/8" bolt and 1/2" nuts. So that's one trip to the parts store.
5. The engineer that designed the shock setup needs to be shot. Getting to the passenger side upper shock bolt was a huge pain.
6. Jacking the back of the truck to put in 5" blocks turn out to be a bigger pain than I imagined. I had to go buy a hi-lift jack to make that happen.
7. I don't know if its because my truck is an 08 or not but all the tool sizes that the directions told me to use were not the same.
So here are the dimensions:
Pre-Lift: from ground to center of wheel well with factory wheels and tires
FRONT 37 1/4"
REAR 39"
Post-Lift: from ground to center of wheel well with factory wheels and tires
FRONT 44 1/2"
REAR 44"
So I have to assume with those numbers that the front will settle about an inch or so. I will post some pics Tuesday to get your opinions. One thing I also noticed is that it seems like the drive line has a lot more angle in it than I expected so I hope that doesn't become an issue.

Prg sells a driveshaft spacer that I would recommend with that much lift in the back.
I looked on PRG's website and didn't see anything like that. Do you have a link or an exact name for the product? Thanks,
Justin

Well I had the alignment done yesterday and boy did the shop have a tough time. The suspension had already loosened up on the drive down so it all had to be torqued again. When the shop took it out for a test drive the shop brought it back to make a few adjustments, they noticed that certain bolts needed to be torqued once again. Needless to say it rides just like it did before the lift and it drives absolutely silent.......Woohooo! And the alignment brought the front down to level which, makes me a very happy man. Here are pics after the alignment was done. FYI, my driveway is slopped a little with the front part of the driveway being higher. AND YES....... I will be getting new rims and tires in a couple weeks or so.

So I take my truck to Nissan for an oil change and they come back with your boot is leaking along with your front diff. So of course I'm WTF because I was just under it yesterday and saw nothing and now its leaking like no other. It was a 1/4 QT low. And of course they said warranty won't cover it because of the lift.
I replied with do you know what actually is wrong with the parts. They said no... which I promptly replied with "then you can't say it's not covered if you don't know what's wrong."
They had me bring it back in to trouble shoot and came back with three different leaks and told me that Nissan will cover it all. So apparently they pulled their head out and did their jobs to find out what was wrong and what would be covered. So thankfully they eventually got it right.
FYI I have a 6" Rough Country Lift and Nissan's warranty is covering it all. Just in case there is anyone out there that is being told otherwise. 12k on the truck and getting a new front diff and axels already. WOW! The dealer here told me that this will be their first time replacing the front diff. I promptly gave them a surprised look because I was under the impression that this was a common problem with Titan's.
The truck has never seen anything other than pavement so it's not like it has been abused. I guess when the time comes I will have to buy an extended warranty.
