3" Rough Country Question

It looks like a few folks have gone this route with the spacers and new Upper A-arms. My question is how many people HAVE had to grind their coilbuckets to allow the ball joint to pass? This kit looks good, but I'd rather not have to start grinding away at things. Thanks in advance...

Re: 3" Rough Country Question

I ground my coilbucket lip about 1/16" to allow the balljoint to clear. I debated about grinding the balljoint itself, but chose to do the coilbucket. You really don't have to remove very much of the lip.

Re: 3" Rough Country Question

I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on this kit, but I noticed that the kit doesn't come with new bump stops. Is this an issue? Does it result in the dreaded clunk? Thanks.

Re: 3" Rough Country Question

I live in TX and I don't jump or desert run (I'm 4wd). I bought the kit because I was having a heavy coil bucket clunk with the PRG 1.5" leveling kit. The UCAs fixed the clunk. The UCAs are heavier duty than stock, and pretty well made, but they are (obviously) not as sturdy as the PRGs. The arms are squeak free and the replaceable ball joint is nice too. That said, I wouldn't put them on a prerunner.

Re: 3" Rough Country Question

Im thinking of going this route rather than the 2" kit, I would like that exta inch. Does anybody have some before and after pics with this kit? I really want to see how high the front sits compared to the back. Just wondering if i need to buy a 1 inch block for the back. Thanks in advance fellas
