bits and pieces

Here are a few bits of where "Godzilla" is at (it's been dubbed this due to the ever growing size of this project)

caging the rear to hold the spare between the frame rails and have compartments for the batteries and jack and fluids and tools and etc...
bypasses and bumps, everything will be wrapped in aluminum with access doors for the compartments. the floor of the bed will be raised about 3.5"

Re: bits and pieces

Fast, Quality, Reasonable Price
You can only pick two.
I chose Quality and Reasonable Price

everything has been done with upgrading in mind for the future.
Like, the bed cage goes into the cab, and the shock placement will work with an added coilover if I decide to link it someday.

Your truck looks like your having some fun already. I can't wait till this thing can go to the desert

Re: bits and pieces

It started out at RPS but I had to move it due to them moving to a new building and it was going to sit for a while.

Re: bits and pieces

Well it started with the trans, you'll notice in one of the pics the stock trans is gone. I'm going with a 4L80 build trans. So we had to have an adaptor plate and this interfered with the stock manifolds and there are no headers that would fit because of this as well, so we made some custom headers and when we started that the stock motor mounts were in the way so we made new stronger ones. Like I said earlier, it has turned into "Godzilla" but it's a blast building and I can't wait to drive it.

Re: bits and pieces

So what do you do for work? I think I should get in that line of work whatever it is. So will your tranny still work with all the gauges and computer?

It will not be using the TCU. It's a manual valve body. Basically a turbo 400 with overdrive. Very strong and much more cost effective than trying to build the stock trans.
