Re: Titan owners with lift kits

Gonna chime in with a question too...

I'm putting my ProComp 6" lift on next Tuesday(so pumped!!!!) and after the lift is put on it...then what? Do i need to have spedo re-calibrated? What have others done? Its a reilf to read that you havn't had any tranny problems beside the tranny mount(which I had to have replaced at my last oil change) but have there been any consistant complaints from other Titan owners that have lifted trucks?

Thanks!
Matt

Re: Titan owners with lift kits

FYI I have the pro comp stage two, love how it rides so much better than stock but the shock bushings for the rear suck. I had to replace both the uppers in less than 1000 miles. But don’t let this discourage you it is a great kit and the install wasn't to terrible just time consuming.

Re: Titan owners with lift kits

so are traction bars the only way to prevent the transmission mounts from breaking?

Re: Titan owners with lift kits

If you have a professional install your ProComp Lift according to the instructions and if your transmission mounts break, you can just contact ProComp Tech Support. As long as the kit is not combined with any other suspension lift components, any damage that results from it is covered under warranty.

FWIW, my pinion seal blew out and a dealer here was blaming the lift. I called ProComp and they gave me a list of other dealers to take it to. They said if one of them wouldn't fix it under warranty to let them know and they would work with the dealership to get it fixed. Fortunately, there's another dealer here who knows it's not a uncommon problem and fixed it under warranty so I didn't have to go that route. I liked the response I got from ProComp though. It seemed to me that they stand behind their product.
