Finally Getting My Suspension

Thanks to all of your posts and Greg at PRG I have my suspension components on the way. I wanted to level my 2008.5 4x4 CC and make a good towing rig. I mostly drive Highway miles getting to work but i have a toy hauler when its time to play.

Up Front I'm going with PRG Leveling Kit and Bilstein struts. In the rear i went with Bilstein shocks, Air Lift bags and the PRG Street Traction bars.

Thanks again to Greg at PRG for all the help and I will be starting the install next weekend... wish me luck!

Pictures to come!

I sent him a couple of emails and also talked to him on the phone a couple times but this has been over several weeks. He is a busy guy but great to work with.

Re: Finally Getting My Suspension

Well so far I have the rear Shocks, Air Lift and the traction bar mounting plates at the axel installed. The shocks alone made a huge difference in the ride already. I just need to find somebody to weld the front brackets on and the rear will be finished.

Still waiting on the back ordered front struts to do the leveling kit they should be here this week.

How long did it take for your lift to arrive? I ordered a lift last week and it feels like time is at a total stand still. I was planning on getting the Bilstein Struts but greg told me it would be at the beginning of November before he gets his shipment in, so didn't want to wait that long so I got the 2.5 SAWS with the spindles. Can't wait to get my lift!

It was only like 4 days of shipping but I had a few parts he was waiting on before he shipped mine out but it was within a week. PRG has great service and Greg has been keeping me posted on the struts.

Re: Finally Getting My Suspension

Well the install is complete I have some pictures of the rear install that I did myself I can post but I had a shop install the front considering it was 19 degrees this weekend and I wanted it done. So I took some measurements before and after...here are the results.

Before:
LF 37 1/4"
RF 37 5/8"
LR 39 1/4"
RR 39 1/8"

After:
LF 38 3/4" = + 1 1/2"
RF 39 1/8" = + 1 1/2"
Rear airlift bags have the min 10psi.
LR 39 3/4" = + 1/2"
RR 39 1/2" = + 3/8"

Measurement was taken from Ground through the center of the axel to the fender.

It still points downhill a little but a huge improvement from stock. The Billstein shocks made a huge difference all the way around from the stock setup and the traction bars made a huge difference. Driving over speed bumps at an angle is smooth with minimal side to side rocking very nice setup.
