Re: Adjustable shocks

Here's a good pic of that RC UCA's ball-joint from Adkl1's thread. Anyone got a pic of the stock UCA for comparison purposes

Usually cook-n-brown. Sometimes suncoast mud hole. When I feel like seein some crazy drunkin retard rednecks or the cops have been kickin people outta cooknbrown.

Last time I was out at cook n brown, a cop chopper with a 50cal mounted machine gun circled us 4 times and then left we took off. Scared me I can not get arrested. Although I have heard that cook n brown is owned by some chinamen who lives in china and doesn't care that people chill on his property. So the cops really can't do anything

Re: Adjustable shocks

We have been to Sadona the same trail the pink jeep tours go on, i have taken it back on a really rough jeep trail back to a old mercury mine and out to some coves near a local lake. AZ has endless trails to nowhere but its all rough rocks and plants that have thorns the length of your fingers and they are made by jeeps for jeeps so its a tight squeeze... Also been up to the mountains to play in the snow... I will have a more easy time now with more ground clearance and tires that are made to go off road....

You know I've been thinkin really hard about gettin rid of the titan and gettin a jeep. I love the no-doors or roof deal. They are so capable. Too bad they're made by chrystler

Re: Adjustable shocks

The UCA's dont give you more lift, the bigger ball joint just makes the UCA sit higher over the coilbucket this doesnt provide any lift.

I heard cook n brown was closed again... I heard that the Redneck Yacht Club was pretty chill but its a seasonal type place, but its completely legal just pay an entree fee and they have bulldozers there to pull you out

Re: Adjustable shocks

I will not pay any entrance fee to go off-road. People always say that cook n brown is closed but you can't really know until you actually go out there. The nice part is that with all the rumors that cops go out there and it's closed when you go you get the whole place to yourself.....But I kinda miss when there would be 200 trucks out there with 30 bond fires and hot food stands and chicks..... it used to be so bad@ss

Still a fun place to go. Right now it is way to flooded for my comfort (2wd) I drowned the $hit outta my buddies kfx-400 about a month ago out there. He sold it and bought a rhino and a grizzly so I don't think we'll have that problem anymore

Re: Adjustable shocks

I had a 08 4 door rubi waiting to be picked up at the train station by the dealer , i waited 4 months after ordering it then at the last minute i went with my T. They turned out to be the same price, i kinda kick myself in the a$$ sometimes for not getting it but one thing the motors in the new jeeps are sh!t . Plus i would of had to spent some cake to get it the way i would of wanted it...

When I get my RC kit i'll put just the spacers measure then add the UCA's and check the difference.

The KFX is a sick bike, My buddy had a KFX-700 the special edition one with the sick paintjob. It was an Automatic so everytime we went mudding the belt would slip, used to go behind Baker alot but then they built another school

Re: Adjustable shocks

They're too fast for me. I like to take it safe and slow and play in the mud and water. Don't want to risk hitting a tree flying through trails

The only real way to properly do it is to put the spacer on drive around a couple of miles and measure the fender height. Then install the UCA drive around a couple of miles then measure the same fender height parked in the same exact spot you measure the first time.

But I already know the answer UCA cant push down on the spindles no matter how long they are. Unless there so long where the UCA is topping out on the fender and which point you could drive the truck. lol Rember their riding on a pivot point you can move them up and down with your hand before their installed in the spindles so the spindles is going to push them where it wants until it either bottoms out on the coilbucket or tops out on the bump stop.

Re: Adjustable shocks

Well I guess you only get 2.5" outta the RC. Atleast I'll get better UCA's so when I add the bilsteins I can get about 3.5" With minimal contact
