Re: Adjustable shocks

Adk1 so if you sitting at 42" now and a stock Pro4x sits at about 37" then you did get the 3" of lift from the RC kit. I figured subtract 1" for tire size (35"), then about 1/2"-3/4" for tread difference. Which leaves about 3"-3 1/4". Either way it looks dam good ! mmtitan I'm in the same boat as you, I can't wait to get them on and feel the difference. Oh I picked up the bump stops from AutoZone, did you guys trim any off the top? Or just install them right out of the box?

Re: Adjustable shocks

My Pro-4x stock sat at 38" front and 39 1/2" rear. Adkl1 I think that its great that you went another route with your lift and I'm looking to do something similar. I have the leveling kit so im thinking maybe add adj. coils or bilsteins and uca's up front with a deaver c-10 and shackles in the rear. I was looking for about 3.5" total up front and 2" lift for the rear. I don't want to do a bracket lift, so I was wondering how the ride is on your truck? How are the cv joints looking? Anything else seem like its binding up in any way? Sorry for the q's and the thread jack, just wanted to get some info.

Re: Adjustable shocks

Here's a couple pics I stole from $ickTitan's thread. His setup is exactly what I'm gettin. Although lookin at his rear height compared to front it almost makes me want to get 2" blocks instead of 1.5"

Re: Adjustable shocks

This site has them and it doesn't say anything about them being out of stock. Wouldn't I have to modify the ends or something though? How hard it that?

Re: Adjustable shocks

They are out of stock as well for the D185s. I have called everywhere looking for them. The only place I found them was from a company called Shox.com. They had access to a couple of sets so I picked a set up. I had to pay a little more for the front since they had to purchase them from another vender to sell them to me. But I still came out ahead since the D186s (rear) qualified for the 25% off deal from Bilstein. Total shipped for front and rear Bilsteins was $316.00. If you call Shox.com ask for Mark. You don't have to modify the D185 or D186 to fit the T. Now if you do a 2" block in the rear then you will need the 5125, those you will need to modify to fit the T. How? I don't know, I just know PRG sells them already modified to fit the T. If you figure out how to, please let me know. I figure you probably have to grind down the metal insert inside the bushing end to fit into the mounting brackets/points. But not sure.

Re: Adjustable shocks

$ickTitan's T does look good. But it does look like his rear is lower. I asked him about it and he said it maybe about 1/4" higher in the rear. I'm not sure if his T is a 4x4 so that might make a difference.

Re: Adjustable shocks

So I want to put Bilsteins on my truck, I know I need the 5100 for the rear but the fronts I'm at a loss with. Do I have to go with PRG because he modify's them to fit the spacers ?

Re: Adjustable shocks

You will need the 5100s (D185) for the front as well. No modifications needed for the front, simple bolt in. Now if you go with the 5125s for the rear then you will need to modify them to fit the T. PRG sells them modified. No need for the 5125s for the rear unless you are going 2"+ of lift.

Re: Adjustable shocks

I guess I'll wait till PRG has the fronts, then I'll get 5100's up front and 5125's in back at the same time. Then I can get 2" blocks. I want a little rake
