Adjustable shocks

I'm interested in the bilstein adjustable fronts. I want to buy some, set them at 1" and install the RC 3" level kit with the UCA's. I believe one member that I found did this ($icktitan), and it looks great.

*please refrain from telling me not to buy anything but PRG. I know they're awsome but their UCA's are $600 as opposed to $260 for the RC kit and it comes w/ spacers. I don't leave the road and don't need $600 dollar bad@ss UCA's. I just need to avoid coilbucket contact

Now to the question I wanted to ask:

Where is a good place to buy these bilsteins? I looked on the PRG site and the only ones I could find are non-adjustable. I searched around the google and couldn't find much. So where they at? Thanks

Greg @ PRG can get the Billy 5100 (the adjustable ones) you just have to call him, or shockwarehouse.com has them as well. Just keep in mind the RC 3" kit only lifts the front 2" and the UCA's add no lift to the set up. Not trashing it as it is the kit I purchased.

If I'm reading it right, it sounds like his goal is to adjust the 5100's for 1" lift so he'll gain a 3" total lift.

Bilstein 5100 are on National backorder until November.

Re: Adjustable shocks

Wow national backorder? Must be a hot item. On Greg's site in the text with the non-adjustable bilsteins it says that with a $150 core charge he'll put the coil on and ship them and then you get a refund when you return your core. Does anyone know if he does that with the 5100's?

Probably something I should ask Greg but I assume he's difficult to get a hold of right now, and you guys have a quick question response time.

Re: Adjustable shocks

Alright I got one more question since I'm in my own thread and I'm not jacking anyone else's:

What exactly makes the 4x4/off-road package trucks sit higher than non-4x4 or offroad pkg.? And how much higher are they than a 2wd, non-offroad pkg.?

Thanks yeah I was going to mention to the guy up at the top of the thread that you gained at least three outta the RC and the UCA did affect your ride height

I'm pretty certain it's the different coilovers. The offroad packages come with Rancho which I think might have a higher preload than the standard OEM junk which could yield the additional height.

Not yet as POPS has informed the 5100's are back ordered. Even Greg at PRG is out of them.

He has a PRO-4X Titan which has the larger coils on it and the rancho struts give about a 1/8" to 1/2" difference in ride height as opposed to a standard
4x4. Also he is running 35" tires if he measured from the ground which I assume he did there is your added lift right there. I put my truck next to a friend who has an 08 PRO-4X and his was taller than mine all around and I have a 09 crew 4x4. Also keep in mind every truck is different and you may not reap the same results as some-one else.

Re: Adjustable shocks

I put the Rc spacers on thursday night and measured 40 1/8" with the stock UCA's then on friday I put the RC UCA's and I'm at 41 1/8" so I am positive the RC UCA's gave me another 1"...

Well then I stand corrected.
