Re: 4" lift vs. 6" lift

I was asking these same questions about 2 yrs ago. Everyone told me that if I got a 4" lift I'd just want to go higher later on. Pretty sure they were right. IMO, 8" is the perfect height. Right now I'm at 6", and I could stand to go a little higher.

You can get the PC 6" lift cheaper than 1500. I bought mine lightly used with deavers and rear shocks for 1100. Usually you can pick the PC lift up new on sale between 1100-1200.

Re: 4" lift vs. 6" lift

you are probly right with me just wanting to go higher. the only reason that i might have went with a 4" lift is because i thought it might be cheaper.

Re: 4" lift vs. 6" lift

If im not mistaken, I think the Rancho 4" is closer to 5". I'd go head and ge the PC. Roughcountry sells theirs for around $1100 but that has some cutting involved... heres Gregs guide to lifts..

There is no 8" for 4wd. In order to get that height you need coilovers along with you lift kit.

Re: 4" lift vs. 6" lift

Probably a little more money involved with an 8", I think some people are squeezing a little more than 6" from the ProComp Stage II. I say that but I haven't looked up any 8's only 6's. Im getting the PC 6" with PRG's upper A-arms and some new coilovers.

Coilover are going to run you about $1000. I had the 7" CST kit and SAW coilovers and i was about 7.5" of lift. with minimal preload.

I've got my eyes on the ProComp Sway-A-Way Bracket Lift and the A-Arms. So I guess about 3K
