Ya I'm curious what fab work you had done on your spindle. How did you drop the bracket 2"?

Re: PRG Mid Travel Round 2. . .

And one more. I've still got to take it back to him to get the brace over the motor done. Hopefully this week sometime I'll get it back to him for that and then I need to get all the plating/gusset work done around the UCA mounts. After that prep it and paint it which I'm not looking forward to at all.

Re: PRG Mid Travel Round 2. . .

Not bagging on the work done for your hoop, but that is a lot of load on those two shock tabs sticking out at 90 degs...

It's not just the force of the damping loads, but the actual weight and spring loads also...

I have been kind of questioning that too. I still have to take it back him to get the brace done so I was hoping that he could somehow incorporate the brace with the tabs. I wish Greg would have just sent me a 8" coilover. The 10's that I'm running have to be almost touching the fender well in order for me get all my bump travel that I have room for. Any recommendations Lou, As far as what you would do with the tabs?

Your idea about incorporating the engine brace into the top of the tabs is a great start...Maybe some additional gussets on the side of each tab at the bottom would add more weld where it's needed...

Doesnt even come close. The uniball on the UCA hits long before that.

Re: PRG Mid Travel Round 2. . .

get the scotch pad out and then spray paint that stuff! I cant stand rust

Also if you dont mind me asking what did they charge for that install, is all the extra plating and stuff included in what you already paid or is extra to go back and get it touched up? I say deff have that mount boxed in more and you said thats only .120 wall?

$1300 for the shock hoops and brace. I'm gonna have somebody else do the plating around the UCA. He wanted too much to do it. I asked him about too much pressure being on the tabs and he said he promised that they plenty strong enough. I'll paint every thing after I get the plating around the UCA done. Ya its .120 wall chromoly.
