Wanting to lift my 08 2WD, but don't have enough to afford the 4" lift, so I'm curious, whats the most cost effective way to lift the truck about 4"? I only take this truck out off road during deer season and most of the trails are pretty tame.
Thanks guys

What are you a 2wd or 4wd, if you have a 2wd I would say a PRG mini lift. Not to sway of topic but every time I look at the mini lift it seems to go up in price it now at 1,200. When I first saw it it was priced at 899.

I have been looking at the PRG website and the minilift is only $250. The CST 4" spindle is at 899, and I guess what I'm asking is if there is way to achieve a 4" lift without shelling out near 1k.
Thanks for the input guys

You could probably go with a spacer on top of some bilstein 5100s? That would get you close but people have said the ride is quite harsh if you set them to sit at the higest lift.
Cheapest way would be mini-lift and body lift??? If not then I can't think of many other cost-effective options besides the spindle lift. If you can live with just a 3" lift though, check out the rough country 3" front lift. It comes with spacers and uca's for an unbeatable price of around $260 I believe and then get some 1" rear blocks. That might be your best bet
Ok, techtitan08 here is the reason why the spindle lift is actually a good choice for what you want. When you add an excessive amount of space between your upper control arms and lower control arms, you will increase the angles of the arms. This WILL result in coil bucket contact (requires new uca's approx. $200-600) and may have issues with your sway bar endlinks being too short (longer ones are about $80). Also you can't just buy 4" spacers so you would need spacers + height adjustable shocks, or coilovers. That would more than likely harshen your ride and not be very cost-effective. Also, the spindle lift give you lots of options to go bigger. However, remember that these options will only raise your front and not the rear. Again, I would reccomend that rc 3" front lift for $260 and some rear 1" blocks which can be had for under $100. Also do not get bigger than 1" blocks if you plan on keeping the stock rear shocks. Hope that helps

Is rough country a decent brand? Just haven't heard the name around the forum as much as PRG. The 3" lift sounds good, but are you saying it will only lift the front? And if it does will the 1" block in the rear be enough to make it level?

3" in the front and 1" in the back should have you sitting just about level.
Looks like rough country makes good quality stuff. Check out adkl1's thread. Lots of details and pics. Yes, btw both the rc 3" and the cst 4" are just for the front.
