Amsoil. Seems the best deal for the best product. Can get it a little cheaper if you sign up to become a perferred customer or dealer. If you buy lots of oil, for several cars/motorcycles, the perferred customer fee pays for itself pretty quickly with the money you save. Plus, I don't have to run all over town looking for motorcycle full synthetic.

I have always used and liked Castrol Syntec in my other vehicles but it looks like mobil 1 is the choice of most Titan owners. Tell us why!!!!

I'm a Mobil1 5w/30 user myself, always have been. And Purolator oil filter. I prefer synthetic, too many tests prove it better but the real thing is, regardless of what you use, keep to the proper change intervals for your usage. I still change the oil every 3000 miles but that's probably overkill. Cheap insurance to me...can't hurt.

From what I can tell the Purolator and the Wix filters are the best oil filters made right now without spending the big dollars on a Mobil 1 oil filter. I just bought the Pure One filter for mine.

What weight or type Royal Purple do you use. Where I work we use tons of Royal Purple and I know the dealer very well and can get a little discount from him. I was thinking of going to RP but wasn't sure anyone here was using it.

I'm old school in that I still believe the first oil change should be after the first 1000 miles (in case of any particles fom manufacturing are left behind). However, according to Nissan, the answer to your question is no. 3000 miles is fine.
I've always changed over to synthetic at that 1st 1000 mile change interval, but some claim the engine should have until 3000 miles to properly wear in. I've read a few articles on the subject that claim the rings are fully broken in after very few miles, a few hundred I think (don't remember the exact number), so the early change won't hurt.

I really don't know what to think about the break in period, because it is factory fill on the vette, and the BMW Z-3 im sure there are others also?

Of the readily available products, the Mobil 1, Pure One combo is the way to go.

When I first got my truck and joined this site there was an oil analysis done by Jet Tech that convinced me that this engine likes Mobil 1.
