July's Truck of the Month

I volunteered to organize a Truck of the Month contest where members will be able to submit a brief writeup on their truck and some pics. The last day for submissions will be June 24, 2005. At that time I will start a poll where everyone can vote to select a winner. At the end of the month, the winner will be announced, and ekool will put their truck in the banner you see at the top of the page.

Rules:
1. Submissions must be made on or before 6/24/2005.
2. Please include a brief writeup on your truck (a paragraph or two).
3. Please provide links for up to 3 pictures.
4. Please include a list of your mods (if any).
5. Please do not post to this thread unless you are submitting.

Thanks to everyone who participated last month. We are starting this one early enough so more members will have more time to make submissions. Don't freak out over writing a paragraph or two about your truck, no one is going to count the number of words.

To keep it tight, please post your comments about the submissions (or the contest) here:

It all started in may 2004, just moved into NC 1 month beforehand, me and my now ex-wife went to the local nissan dealer looking for a 350z for my father in law, while she was in a salesmans office i thought id look around out of boredom. and there she was, a big a** pickup id never seen or herd of before, i took one walk around it, and said, " it will be mine.....oh yes, it will be mine" lol

so later that night i drove her home right off the showroom floor and im as happy with it now as i was then, not to mention all the little gadgets, bells, whistles, whatever you wanna call them, the biggest hit to me was its versatility, how me being 26 can hop into it drive it,have fun with it, and love it, and my 62 yr old mother can hop in and do just the same, i mean, that should be a titan commercial on tv.

ok well, i've run out of things to say besides i dont think ill ever get rid of my titan, maybe when it dies yrs and yrs down the road, if it dies...

i hope no one minds but rather than make this post longer and longer , my sig. has the link to my web page, showing all mods, all factory stuff, and even plans for the future, with huge pictures, thanks

faithfull TT member....wmtom

p.s. i think this thread is a great idea, props to pagerdaddy!!

My entry

Being a truck person most of my life, I was more than pleased to find the following after being wheelchair bound eighteen years ago (poor me) .
I just purchased a 2004 Titan King-cab SE with a few thousand on the odometer. It was converted into a wheelchair driver accessible truck. The mods include a drop floor (approx. 6"), lower door ext., remote drivers side doors, an under vehicle lift, hand controls, 2.5" level front w/4" overall body lift, full side length body flares and dual exhaust. It is currently the only one in the world, but with this trucks ease of conversion without major frame mods, its popularity will be growing.
I should have my new rims shortly and that should complete my truck. That is, until the stereo mods.

Hello All, not exactly sure if my truck is Titan of the month material but here it goes. I was reading the Road and Track one day and saw in one of those far back articles about Nissans new full size truck plans. I went to nissans webpage and found a link to be contacted for more information when it became out. So low and behold my wife and I took an hour and a half drive to see the pre-production Titans north of my area , talked to a few guys and was really sold from the begining. So a few car shows later and atleast 15-20 trips to the dealerships when they were closed and alot of pushing from the wife to get it < me being rather cheap > I finally went down and got the deal I really wasn't expecting to get. Its funny without this website I probably wouldn't have gotten one , yes I loved them and yes two co-workers had them but it took the extra info to push me to purchase. My 2005 Blizzard White Crew cab has the standard options such as big tow , traction pac, and utility bed as well as the popular package. I have since taking her home added the factory fog lights and mud flaps < man do those help > thanks to courtesy nissan parts. She also has tinted from windows that match the rear as well as the infamous PRG front leveling kit which is key. Future upgrades will be an intake and gibson dual sport for the near future performance wise. Inside I have added an IPOD setup and will be upgrading the stereo first with bazooka tube and next the Kenwood touch screen and rear cam. God I love tha truck. Picture of my baby are in my gallery . Thanks

Hi all… My Titan story begins with my charter boat. I have a 30’ Wellcraft that has been a charter diving boat for the past 15 years. We decided to stop paying the tremendous dock fees and keep the boat on a trailer. Well my 96 Toyota T-100 was a great truck, but not 4X4 and no chance of pulling the 8000+ lbs boat. My first look at a Titan and I was sold. I did look at other trucks but the only thing running through my mind was, “I gotta have me a Titan!”

Well, needless to say, I now own a 05 Deep Water Blue (anyone else notice that this is really green) CC 4X4 LE. We ran a baseline Dyno 3 days after I brought her home. So far the only mod has been adding an Armada air dam (looks good). Planned mods so far are:
1. K&N model 77 air charger (should be here any day)
2. custom exhaust
3. Amsoil synthetic fluids everywhere
4. Electric Fan upgrade
5. Amsoil Bypass oil filter system
6. Remote Tranny filter (extra quart and extra cooling)
7. Bed cover (hard or soft)
8. 30’ boat trailer (picked up yesterday)

I’m sure I have missed something in there but its 0522 hrs and I’m still at work . I really do think the pictures speak for themselves. Thanks for looking…

I did forget to add that my Titan was born 02/05 and adopted on 06-07-05
