Nissan has extended the warranty on brakes for the 04-05 Titan to 36 months and unlimited miles.
Owners can feel confident after a first year shake-down leading to several modifications and improvements that resulted in a better braking Titan.
The newest generation brakes are more powerful, reliable and cleaner than the first generation.
Does everybody's truck respond differently to the same upgrade??

That is good to know I am still on my original 04 brakes without probs (not counting the brake dust) its good to know they did the right thing in case I ever have a prob.

I am on my first set of replacement brakes, they are not the new parts, but so far so good. I am still concerned though. I warped the rotors the last time when I took the truck to New Mexico for a skiing trip.

i'm at a little over 6000 miles on the final brake fix and they still feel like new!! brake dust is almost non-existant since the fix as opposed to the 1st original set that came on that just spewed brake dust all over the front wheels!!
still KEEP-ing my fingers crossed that the problem is permanently solved. my first set went 14,000 miles before the judders started to kick in so the bar is set at at least 15,000 on this permanent fix. yet a ways to go so the monitoring continues!!! for some reason i don't think you'll ever hear the end of the brake issues, hopefully i'm wrong!! peace - Tortuga

I'll have an answer tomorrow. Just dropped mine off with 8200 miles. Service manager says it will be the final fix since they have rotors in stock. Hopefully it'll stiffen up the brake pedal as it's pretty spongy.

Only problem with this survey is the knowledge of the individual owner not knowing the difference between the temp and permanent brake fixes. Or being misled by the stealer on the type of work actually performed.

As for me 3500 miles on new brakes........love them, no more brake dust....very satisfied with Nissan's response.

Had the final fix and they lasted about 800 miles....dealer in Texas tried to blame the dealer in Arizona that did the fix(supposed to be the final, final fix for me)....someone is always pointing the finger.

i have taken my titan in for a second time with 14,500 miles on her and she seems great until about a few months later when the damn steering whells starts shaking a little, then it gets bad! but i love the titan and the power in it! Not to mention the baseball feild i have inside the cab! but the brakes are going to be either fixed or it will the reason to get a lawyer and do the lemon law suit! if anyone has had the so called "final fix" on their brakes please let me know, or if there is another aftermarket kit, please advise!

I think that there are "big brake" kits from Stop Tech and from Stillen. I think (not sure) that these require 20 inch wheels.

I have OEM size cross-drilled rotors and metal matrix pads from Stillen. The rotors seem much harder than OEM and the pads produce much less dust. I also have SS brake lines, Dot 4 fluid, and speed bleeders.

Getting the "alleged" final fix today. We'll see if this corrects the problems. Mine started with only 2000K

PrerunnerGreg has the same rotors and pads from stillen and his still produced judder... go figure!?!!

The brake fix feels exactly the same as the stock ones. I think people are are biased because the warping of the rotors caused braking problems, not the rotors itself. And as far as I can determine, the brake fix *should* feel exactly the same. They didn't put on bigger rotors or calipers with more pistons or anything that should increase/decrease performance. They just replaced the parts with similarly performing parts, just with better durability.

The rotors I had installed from my dealer as the "final fix" were bigger than the original ones. They do perform better and brake dust is no longer a problem.

It sounds like you were played and did not receive the "real" fix for the problem.
