Towing with an 08 Titan xe king cab
Hello, I'm looking at buying a used 2008 Titan XE king cab 4 x 2 with 31,000 miles. It does not have a towing package but I was going to add a hitch and and wiring for lites and trailer brakes. The trailer I would like to tow weighs about 5500lbs loaded. Would this truck handle that without the towing package installed. Do these come with tranny coolers if you do not order the tow package.

You'll be fine, the '08 KC XE is rated for 6500lb without the factory tow package. It will also already have a trans cooler as well, so all you'll need is the hitch and the relays for the trailer lights as well as a trailer brake controller.

Back-n-Black was towing his work trailer daily like that with his 2007 XE before he traded it in for a new SE w/ BT.
